Just want some opinions and reasons why you think what you think. Would you run Reckless Waif  Flip over Wolfbitten Captive ? Does the menace outweigh a kinda heafty buffing price?

Menace? As for your question, I personally run Captive over Waif.

Captive allows you for a mana sink in late game or even early game.

Drop him on turn 1, buff him on 2 and your opponents would probably not block as their creatures would have lesser toughness than its power. Also this would make you cast no spells so he'll flip.

Wait is pretty conditional, 3/2 when flipped is amazing but if your opponent isn't allowing you to flip her, she's just a measly 1/1 which would just become a dead weight.

It's your preference really and also your play group style. Ultimately, experiment and play and see which best fits you.

Happy brewing! =)

It's really up to you. I can see Reckless Waif struggling against spell heavy decks so Wolfbitten Captive could be a better choice for all sorts of deck.

Oh and if you don't have Immerwolf for your deck yet, I suggest you consider him too.

I would run Reckless Waif  Flip. The mana cost on Wolfbitten Captives buff is just too steep to pay later on. If you want a manasink for those turns where you don't want to play any cards, Kessig Wolf Run is a lot better.

The choice, for me, is heavily dependent on whether it is a multiplayer or pvp game you have in mind.

Multiplayer: Wolfbitten Captive, more versatility in multiplayer matches

PVP: Reckless Waif  Flip because she can be fast. Though only play her if you also play Moonmist and/or Geier Reach Bandit  Flip, so you can manipulate her state.

I must say that I don't run her in my We're Wolves deck, because she is fast but not that good in multiplayer games, which I normally play.

I would play Wolfbitten Captive over Reckless Waif  Flip, as I see it being better in the long game with its ability to pump itself into a 3/3 or a 6/6. I would think Village Messenger would be better than Reckless Waif  Flip as well, since it can get in 1 damage on turn 1, then gain menace when it transforms.

I wouldn't run either, to be honest. Village Messenger and Kessig Prowler are my preferred 1-drops.

I prefer Captive. I think Waif and Messenger are too bad when you can't flip them, and Prowler is too slow for modern.

Are you playing pure Werewolf Tribal where you're more of an aggro deck (aggressive, low cost wolves in combination with burn spells)? Or are you playing a more prison version (Blood Moon, Chalice of the Void, etc.)?

It's pretty strictly werewolf tribal aggro. It's also on a budget so I don't have room for cards like Blood Moon or Chalice of the Void.

@RazorWolf: You may actually want to play both, then, along with Village Messenger and possibly Kessig Prowler. You have to get damage going ASAP, which means playing a 1-drop. Otherwise, you won't be able to race decks like Burn or Zoo. Having a good curve is crucial, especially since Werewolves is a slower tribe as-is.

Do you have a decklist yet? Or one you're looking at already?
