Updating BR Bob to Post Gaak Meta

Modern Deck Help forum

Hey, I could use some help updating my [BR Bob Deck](http://tappedout. Its a midrange deck that operates around getting card advantage through Dreadhorde Arcanist , Dark Confidant , and Seasoned Pyromancer . Since making the deck, I have seen decks that use Dreadhorde Arcanist in similar ways. It excites me that I was onto something in making it, but I dont really have the time to figure out what needs to change in this dramatically different meta. Would anyone like to help get me up to date and make a few suggestions for the deck. With burn being big in the meta, it is probably worth taking out bob to make a deck like the midrange decks Ive been seeing.

Anyways, I look forward to what you have to say, thanks.

Let’s see...

Considering how prevalent W/U Stoneblade, Burn, and all the various creature decks of Modern are atm, I think Collective Brutality is your friend. I know it’s awkward because Dreadhorde Arcanist can’t flash it back with base power 1, but it’s pretty absurd right now. I wouldn’t take out your Bobs because they’re still quite good. Dragon's Claw is probably good for the sideboard. If you’re not running Soul-Scar Mage , he turns Burn into actual removal. Finally, Shadowfeed is good incidental gy hate with anti-Burn attached. You might run 1-2 in the main if you expect to see lots of Burn.

Hey thanks for the comment. I dont know why, but the list wasnt actually linked. Here it is. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/br-bob-party/

I have some brutalities, but its honestly not enough for burn. I cant really win fast enough without playing dark confidant to attack, which was one of the reasons I was thinking of taking it out initially. Your suggestion of playing dragons claw seems really good, and I think Ill try it out. May make it worth playing dark confidant with that little bit of extra lifegain.
