Updating a Elf Deck

Hello everyone!
I recently posted up a friend's deck list (link below) and I need some help.
Recently my friend has been updating his B/G Tribal Elf deck to the Modern format, but sadly is now stuck. His deck is currently "Illegal" for Modern due to Wirewood Lodge and Tangle, he wants to fix this, but sadly neither him nor I know what might be good replacements for these cards.
If anyone could help us and if you're so inclined, to give any other suggestions/tips on how to improve the deck overall, on top of the current situation, we would be very appreciative.

I don't play Elves so will be of little help personally. However, I can highly recommend checking out michael921's Budget Upgradable Elves.

I am putting together a elf commander deck RN so I can post it here when I am done and maybe some cards can help you out! : ).

I would highly recommend Collected Company to slam in Elves. For lands, don't forget Gilt-Leaf Palace which is basically always going to enter untapped in this deck.

The upcoming set has a card Steel Leaf Champion that is going to be insanity in any elf deck btw.

Scryb Ranger can untap an elf every turn (provided you can do with a bit less land than usual).

Unclaimed Territory or Cavern of Souls or Gilt-Leaf Palace instead of Wirewood Lodge (also Blooming Marsh )

I can't really help you with Tangle but I think Prophet of Kruphix should help out. I know it is not a land but maybe...just maybe???
