Modern Deck Help forum

There's a SCG event coming to my city soon, I'm attending it mostly to put some competitive milage out of my Eldrazi deck, but there will be time for other events too.. I'm not touching Standard, but I have a few cheeky Modern brews I can choose from..

The Modern deck that I'm going to bring is a B/r Vampire Tribal..

Now I know this isn't exactly Tier-1 material, but rather, I'm piloting this simply as an enjoyable Rouge deck that happens to throw a monkey wrench into the works (and it gives me an excuse to run my playset of signed Fulminator Mages)..

That being said: What tweaks can you see making the Sideboard stronger?

And FYI read the description before suggesting Lightning Bolt!

My buddy just recently top 8'd a SCG IQ with a mono black vampire strategy.

Here is his decklist

I honestly would play 4 Lightning Bolt, even with the synergy of Liliana of the Veil + Bump in the Night. You're discarding Bloodghasts and extra Thoughtseizes. The flexibility is stronger. With 4 Terminate and 4 Lightning Bolt, you don't need the Fatal Pushes or Bump in the Nights, yet still maintain the consistency and flexibility of both.

I'd also play an Olivia Voldaren in the sideboard for games against decks not running Lightning Bolts of their own, such as Tron. The ability to steal large creatures or ping tokens will win you games 2 and 3.

The deck posted by hwagner has Shizo, Death's Storehouse. I've also been running the Kamigawa legendary lands in my Modern decks and have absolutely loved them. It means you have to play Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet in the main.
