Renegade Rallier in Modern?

I recently decided that I would give Modern a try. I saw some ultra-budget Mono Green Stompy lists and figured I would try to piece something together from them. All was going well until I pulled a foil Renegade Rallier in a pack of AER. I now have a strong attachment to the card, and I want to build a deck with him in it, I was thinking in an Abzan shell. Of course, I don't have that much money to spend, but I think that this card has huge potential, especially in a midrange Abzan or maybe Bant shell. Help?

I'm on a very tight budget right now, but I'm willing to invest in cards one at a time. Fetches/Goyfs are out of the question though.

Thinking of even just splashing white in the stompy deck mentioned in the initial post, since I'm already running Dryad Militant.

I have to mention that he gets a lot worse without fetches. Because "Fetch/Forest/Play Railer/Get Fetch back" is just too good.

Yeah... Add landfall triggers and that's a turn 3-4 win.

I don't have the money for fetches right now, but I just read a SCG article with a bit about Naya Landfall, running him as a 2-4 of. I just want a fun deck for FNM, though.

No... The deck was running fetches. I just brought it up because it seemed like the deck he worked best in.

If i find some time I'll try to throw together a list for you which is not too expensive. I like the card aswell.

If fetches are out, I recommend you shelve the card. The only deck that doesn't use fetches where Renegade Rallier is good in is Taxes, and that requires Aether Vial and Horizon Canopy. Sorry.

@Rothgar: But Standard seems like a great place for him. Yahenni's Expertise into Renegade Rallier into Hidden Herbalists gives me shivers.
@EpicFreddi: Thanks! I really appreciate it! Like I said before, he would be great in an Abzan shell. Maybe Abzan Revolt? Too bad I sold my two copies of Fatal Push... But the idea still has a lot of potential, esp. with Cast Out.

There is the GW Super Value shell, with him, KOTR, Ghost Quarter. Any sort of GW deck with fetches can fit him really.

Rallier's a pretty good card, but most of the decks that can make use of him are pretty expensive. What's your budget?
