omniscience deck idea help

Modern Deck Help forum

I want to make a modern deck based around the cards Omniscience and Enter the Infinite. Obviously, this will never be tier 1 but I wanted to see if it could be good enough to be tier 2 -2.5. The win conditions I want to be flashy such as things likeLaboratory Maniac. Alternatively I could have the deck do something insane like summon 4 Blightsteel Colossus and 4 Progenitus on the same turn and just go ham. The main problem lies in getting Omniscience on the board and not dying long enough for me to actually use it. I need recommendations for superb strategies and card suggestions. If someone has already made a similar deck and you know of it please link it; it may prove to be an excellent starting point.

I had originally thought that I woud make this colors but after seeing a few better combos and cards for the color combo I decided to switch to Izzet colors.

Card(s) that help cheat out Omniscience( that I am actually considering playing)

Jace, Architect of Thought -...playing blue as a primary color should not be a very difficult thing to stall long enough to activate his ultimate.

Jhoira of the Ghitu -literrally perfect. I just need a way to protect her and stall for 4 turns.

Reweave- If I build the deck right I can have a rather high chance of casting this for 5-6 mana and hitting an Omniscience onto the field.

Possible support cards:

Braids, Conjurer Adept very much a fan...just need a reliable way to tutor her while also being able to protect her and blow up anything my opponent wants to cast with it...difficult; however, not impossible.

The only way I can see this working is going with either Arbor Elf, Utopia Sprawl and the like.

Or maybe with Urza's Tower and the others. Probably would have to be / for access to removal to stay alive. So cards like Fatal Push, Remand may be useful.

I also long, long ago seen a decklist that revolved around the mechanic megamorph. They used it to cast Omniscience that way. I think it was either / or // and rather than the threats you suggested, made use of Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. It's a long shot but I will try to find it.

You could ramp a bit less, and play Braids, Conjurer Adept instead, which would let you put Omniscience into play, and then you run from there.

Also, if you go with the urzatron and their supporting cards, isn't it simpler to cut the middleman, and just use those to play your wincons?

And since omniscience helps casting spells, rather than putting them into play, you should go with the big eldrazi, which all have "when cast"-triggers.

xyr0s I like your reccomendation of Braids, Conjurer Adept and the eldrazi. I however do not like tron strategies as I always get screwed over when I run them... do you know of anything else like braids? or any good ways to tutor her?

Braids can put Eldrazi in, but not Omnicience . "Artifact, creature, of land..."

KingTorg1 Thanks for that catch. Regardless, I am considering playing her as she is basicly a worse version of Omnicience . I think the two will get along well.

Whoops. Should learn to read the cards. Sry about that.

Is not megamorph, that can cheat anything in, but manifest. You get omniscience manifested from top of library, then you blink it with Flickerwisp or something like that, and when it returns to play, it has the front side up. And then you can play things from your hand for free. It would be simpler to just manifest your though...

I've been brewing this deck for a while:

U/R Omni Reweave

Modern* sylvannos

SCORE: 2 | 322 VIEWS | IN 2 FOLDERS

I haven't gotten the deck to speed up. Mostly, it's play durdly control until you can cast Reweave.

The other version I've found to be decent is using Prismatic Omen with Fist of Suns. That version is more impacted by removal, since they can Disenchant your combo.

@Sunbrosoulaire: I'm still working on tweaking it before I take it to FNM. The main thing is goldfishing it well enough that I can go through the combo and not go to time each round. Similar to 4 Horsemen in Legacy, it's an infinite combo that requires you to actually go through the motions.

I think the better version might be one where I use Fist of Suns, especially with the new 5-color land coming out. I just don't wanna drop cash on the deck when I have other stuff I should complete first.

Still, it might be one of the fastest ways to cheat an Omniscience into play that doesn't rely on creatures that die to Lightning Bolt. Or playing basically a shitty version of Tooth and Nail or Scapeshift.
