So I have been getting my backside handed to me with my decks and was wondering if anyone had some pointers for me on how to improve them. Specifically http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/13-06-15-welcome-to-milltown/

As a warning, mill isn't the most competitive archetype in Modern. It's slow- you effectively have 53 life to go through, opposed to 20.

If you want to make it work, You're going to want Dimir (UB) colors. Glimpse the Unthinkable, Mind Funeral, Nephalia Drownyard. You can splash white for Path to Exile to set off Archive Trap. I understand that some of these cards are very expensive, so it would help if you give us an idea of your budget.

A cheaper version of the incredible Glimpse the Unthinkable is Breaking. Same mana cost, and it mills eight cards and a full playset will run you for far less than one Glimpse.

2 card difference is pretty important, and considering mill is still pretty difficult with glimpse, having strictly worse glimpse isn't going to help very much. a full playset of Breaking will mill you 8 less cards, and that's a lot.

If your goal is to kill by mill, you need significantly more mill cards. You have 14 dedicated mill cards and, of those, only four are repeated mill (Hedron Crab). A lot of your creatures don't seem to be doing much for you. They're protecting you, sure, but you'd be better served by some more mill and some spot removal in their place.

Have you considered a turbo fog style mill deck? By far my favorite, even if it's not the most competitive deck ever.

@InfiniteParadoX: Yea, but does he really want to drop over a hundred bucks for four Glimpses?

Saj0219 is right though, if you wanna win with mill you gotta use mill. The Critters have got to help in milling, not keeping you alive. Jace, Memory Adept can mill 10 every turn, and since you would have milled a few time by then you only need one or two more Jaces to the face.

Your creatures needs to help with the milling, and actively. Nothing off the top of my head though. You may need to do some digging.
