Mono-Green Topdeck Manipulation/Tutor suggestions

Modern Deck Help forum

Im looking for mono-green topdeck manipulation and or tutoring effects to increase consistency of getting Leaf-Crowned Elder online for my treefolk tribal deck. I am already running 4x Treefolk Harbinger but I think he can use some help. Im leaning towards cutting/replacing Lurking Predators/Luminescent Rain in favor of these effects

Wooded Foothills, Windswept Heath? Courser of Kruphix

I haven't looked at your deck yet.

I don't think green has much deck manipulation.

yeah im still looking.... Cream of the Crop is almost exactly what im looking for but not quite.... considering the low power of early Treefolk that I can play prior to having Leaf-Crowned Elder out.... fetchlands/improving the manabase is a project im gonna work on for another time; but agreed can be improved upon.

good call xyr0s... I can get behind that or Descendants' Path maybe...those concepts both seem to work...maybe even Elvish Piper?

Chord of Calling seems to work for the desired effect. It is too bad this kinship tree is just out of Collected Company range, as I love using this for my Elves deck.

@shadow63 if Worldly Tutor was modern legal that would be PERFECT!.... I have a few Primal Commands laying around collecting dust... not very enthused about that 5CMC but it does do want im looking to do so thank you!

@antacidbrn yeah that's a total bummer about just being out of reach for Collected Company.... from the hip Chord of Calling seems too expensive but ive honestly never played it before... maybe it can work with that "convoke" clause... idk ill give it a whirl in the playtest feature ty!

Vizier of the Menagerie and Courser of Kruphix together with fetchlands would be a good way to manipulate your tip card

In a treefolk deck your best bet is to simply keep the treefolk count high and rely on harbinger and lots of fetchlands to max the odds. Any one shot manipulation that isn't a treefolk will have diminishing returns as it represents a non-hit card in itself when it's on top.

Green Sun's Zenith could also be a viable tutor effect you are looking for.

Also you're running 20 basic forests with no Dungrove Elder?

Green Sun's Zenith is not legal in modern.

THANK YOU EVERYONE! I think I was barking up the wrong tree (pun intended) with the concept of topdeck manipulation/tutors and i think im going to go the way of additional ways to cheat out creatures with Call of the Wild Esq cards/effects to bolster Leaf-Crowned Elder.... leaning towards a 2x Elvish Piper and 3x Descendants' Path to max out my non-creature spell count to 10... this deck-build reminds me a lot of building a Quest for Ula's Temple deck.

Thank you all for commenting on this forum and giving me ideas. Im gonna playtest it like the for a little bit and see if it works the way i want and then work my way into improving the creature list/sideboard by maybe adding in some Dungrove Elder and then decide if i wanna pursue a more deck thinning mana base.
