Leyline in U/W Control?

I've been running three Leyline of Sanctity in the sideboard for my Control list, but I haven't been too impressed by it. Its mostly there for burn spells and to a lesser extend hand disruption, but often I don't get to play it turn 0 and its just kind of slow and clunky. I think I could throw in some better cards like Damping Sphere, Celestial Purge, or Ceremonious Rejection. Any thoughts on this? I'd really appreciate some feedback! Here's the list: Gideon U/W Control

If you're up against heavy creature / token decks, Leyline of Singularity would be great.

If you're against a heavy spellslinging kind of deck, such as burn, yours is good.

Why not sideboard like two of each just in case?

Leyline is not usually played and there are reasons for it.

If you don't have it in your opener its just dead card for long time and you don't even want to jam it on turn 4 because it wouldn't even do much anymore. And holding up Cryptic Command is usually much more important.

And playing less than 4 copies makes it even worse.

My shop is chock full of control decks, so I don't get to play vs aggro too much. My sideboard strategy vs something like burn often involves cutting a cryptic, a jace, my detention spheres, and some other junk. I bring in stuff like Condemn, Dispel, Negate, and Timely in large numbers. It actually improves the matchup tremendously.

I used to run a Runed Halo in the 75 at one point. Naming Eidelon was actually crushing. I got the guy to spend removal to kill his own eidolon so he wouldn't die to it. Priceless.

Layline is a bit clunky. UW can afford to run a bunch of 2 ofs as sideboard cards cuz it can see many cards during the curse of a game, but leyline has to be run in large numbers for it to be effective. Even then, it's susceptible to being blown up by a revelry and if you don't have one in your opener, you feel like garbage.

I still think you should cut down on the Gideons in favor of more counters. Doing that a lone will improve your burn match up.

I like Leyline as a 1 of as its good against Storm as well but for your deck I would cut it completely in favor of better tools.

What decks are in your current meta?

Leyline as a one of sucks. In that case, you're better off with runed halo naming grapeshot.
