Is this fun to you Guys?

Modern Deck Help forum

Had you guys ever had that time where you just throw in cards together and it works? Well, I threw this Temur Tempo deck together because it is more of a tutorial deck that I use against newer player, such as my eigth year old sister. My question to you guys: Is this modern deck work or not? What can I do under $40 make it a tad better with exceeding it? And also, help tweak my mama base.

Here the link. Upvotes welcomed, suggestions encouraged:

Uh... This deck can't be made competitive at a high level period, let alone under $40... If you just want to make it more efficient then look for cheaper creatures and better counterspells and kill spells. Look for draw creatures and consider looking into Collective Company

I would say you can't make this deck super competitive for only $40 but adding cards like Savage Knuckleblade and Delver of Secrets  Flip could help, throw in some upgraded burn spells, and a little better mana base and things are looking up already, I would even suggest Thunderbreak Regent as it is a very efficient threat, as well as Mana Leak and if you want Young Pyromancer then up the card draw with cards like Serum Visions or Anticipate and you're looking at a low budget fun deck

First of all, I never said that this deck was meant for competitive play, let alone was seeking competitive play cards in the first place. It is merely a deck for table home magic and nothing more. As for the suggestions, thank you Will361405 for the advice. It was very helpful. Zaueski and dylanyad, you're both are useless and dimwitted. I won't waste my time dealing with smart-alecks who don't know how to fucking read. I rest my case.

People will assume, since you put this in the Modern Deck Help forum, that you wanted help making it a competitive modern deck. This should be moved to the Casual forum if you're looking to play kitchen table. It's a simple misunderstanding.

You don't attract flies (or people) with salt, friend.

If you're looking to play kitchen table, there are still some thematic things to shake out. The deck says tempo, but things like Welkin Tern and Pilgrim's Eye don't have a tempo facet. You should figure out if you want to go with ahead-of-curve creatures like Polukranos or if you want to go like a U/R tempo build with the Snag and the thopter makers.

And in either build, the burn spells like Firecraft are out of place.

abby315 - At least you say it out clear as day. And for that I thank you. I'll move this to the Casual Help Forum. Other than that, I'll be on my way.

"My question to you guys: Is this modern deck work or not?" This was the question I was answering. As abby315 said, you asked for help in the wrong forum and phrased your question like you were wondering if it could move up to the big boys. I can show you why it doesn't work card by card, but that's long and tedious. Just because you don't like an answer, doesn't mean you should resort to logical fallacies when you yourself were the one posting in the wrong forum.

P.S. Learn how to use grammar before you call someone a dimwit, "is this modern deck work or not" sounds like it was written by a 1st grader.

Typos will be typos. Zaueski, bottom line is that you upright insulted me right off the bat. Admittedly, the deck was horrible and deleted it entirely. However, your commentary came out a bit too cold, despite it being general advice. Other than that, I apologize for being an ass to you. No hard feelings.

Miracles-and-Charms-of-Alara - Are you seriously giving these people a hard time? Come on, it was all misunderstanding. Not to mention that anybody can get a laugh out of that. You're already doing fine, evident by those Blade decks and the unique Counterburn deck that you've concocted. Those are competitive in my opinion, and a mishap like this shouldn't have exploitative dialogue lingering out parting lips. Bottom line, learn how to take critique as it empowers your ingenuity as a deck builder.
