Tribal Human to be exact. I want to take this deck:
Heroes In the Darkness {Standard}
Standard
SCORE: 9 | 17 COMMENTS | 1771 VIEWS | IN 5 FOLDERS
... and turn it into a viable modern deck. I wish to stay Naya, but would consider Abzan or even Mardu. Key cards I own will be Thalia's Lieutenant, and either Monastery Swiftspear and/ or Bloodsoaked Champion.
Price is not an issue as I want to invest to make this a damn fun good competitive deck. If not a Mardu build, I would consider Knight of the Reliquary. I'd even consider 4-color with Saskia the Unyielding but I know that is not a consistent deck to run (and would make it Legacy which I'm not totally against).
What are some good tribal modern staples for humans? How can I make this a bad ass deck and have fun with it? I am a commander player through and through but want to venture forth so all suggestions even stupidly obvious ones are welcome.

@LeaPlath Interesting. Though I have my eyes set on a few cards that do not meet with that decks style. Here is what I am playsetting: Thalia's Lieutenant, Tireless Tracker, Knight of the Reliquary, Monastery Swiftspear, Boros Charm, and Gather the Townsfolk.

I don't think Swiftspear, Boros, Knight or Tireless are where the deck wants to be to be honest.
Knight and Tireless are midrange cards, and humans doesn't do midrange really. Swiftspear and Charm are the flurry of spells type aggro.

To combo of the Champion of the Parish & Thalia's Lieutenant.
Goldnight Commander as a finisher as well.
Depends if you want to go wide or focus on stacking Champion and Lieutenant.

id recomend craig wescoes mardu humans deck have been playing it for a while and its a blast but according to his words "this deck doesnt have any great matchups" this deck very much takes player skill into account but if thats what you want i highly recommend it

Naya Humans can work I think.
Back in Isd/RTR standard, there was a Naya Humans deck (as seen here) And the deck has only got more tools to work with.
I think going almost Zoo like, with Mayor, Thalia's Lieutenant, Champion of the Parish etc could work, and then you could run Thalia to give you an extra turn to kill them before boardwipes, or run more 2 humans for 1 card like Gather the Townsfolk?
