i need professional opinions on whether Gemstone Caverns has a place in a lantern control list. let me know what you think!

Probably not. The card is dependent on luck. It also isn't fetchable. If you include enough copies to actually consistently draw it in your opening hand, then you will draw other copies in the game, and you don't want to do that. It's the reason that no deck in modern plays Gemstone Caverns.
