DREDGE ME HARDER DADDY

Modern Deck Help forum

So, with the banning of Hogaak and Faithless Looting I was having a little think about maybe branching out into, say dredge? Hold your disgusted comments for a moment and let me explain: firstly, with Leyline of the Void no longer being an auto-include for every sideboard it won't just completely wreck me. Secondly, with Looting gone (and the associated assumption that Modern might slow down enough to have a decent game) I feel that dredge is well placed to try playing longer/grinder games utilising some different value cards. With that in mind, I present:

"Dredge-lite: now with extra cheese!"

Can anyone who plays the deck as is tell me if this seems like a viable option? I think that the changes I've made alter the flavour of the deck enough that it ought to play out in a slightly different way and offer some variance in strategy. Bearing in mind that I know basically nothing about dredge, do you think I might be able to pilot this to a win in whatever meta modern is going to become? Comments and suggestions welcome - due to the cost of the deck I'll certainly be proxying it up for some practice games before I consider committing so should be able to try out a few different lines.

Dredge seems like a fine choice right now. It can function without looting. I'll go look at the decklist.
