Exactly how much stupid and unresponsible would it be to run Doran, the Siege Tower in a treefolk tribal deck (so far mono-green) with only 4 Murmuring Bosks and no other duals? Of course, I would run 4 Treefolk Harbingers and some Arbor Elfs and Sylvan Caryatids (two of each probably, they are not treefolks...). I really like Doran, but I don't want to break the budget with shocklands (I can't use any other duals, because I need them to still be forests due to Dungrove Elders and Dauntless Dourbarks).
You'd need roughly 12 sources of and to reliably cast Doran, so I don't recommend it.

Second the suggestion for Assault Formation if you're interested in that kind of effect but are locked into mono- for budget purposes.

Theres a few ways to make Treefolk work. I've been building mine for around 1-2 years and you might find something useful in it. Treefolkdancing my way to competitive scene!

Assault Formation is nice, on it's own it does nothing. I don't want to play formation, because it isn't creature. Doran, with his 5 toughness, can attack for 3. Also playing such enchantment on turn 2 would prevent me from turn three Leaf-Crowned Elder/Dauntless Dourbark/Unstoppable Ash... to play that Bosk Banneret is much better. As for Nylea, God of the Hunt, she is not a treefolk, doesn't fit the theme and I don't even think, that she would be good in my deck (I don't know why I think so, maybe I just don't like her...)

jachher: I suggested Nylea because she gives trample to all of your creatures and I'm not sure that any Treefolk does that. However if there is one that gives it to all Treefolk then that one would be better. But I'm not sure how your play style is so trample may not be your thing.

If you just want trample, Nylea is overkill. A simple Primal Rage is a lot better for its purpose.

Well mostly if there is something to trample through I attack with Dauntless Dourbarks, they have trample naturaly, and leave the rest for defense. If neceserry I also run Bladed Pinions (I'm not sure now, how many in mainboard) and Shinen of Life's Roar (that channel is sooo good). I don't think that I need trample for everyone...

I would say that it would not be as consistent without fetches and shocks but not unplayable. Also, I suggest Nylea, God of the Hunt just as a side note.
