Can you copy Ob Nixilis, Unshackled 's ability with [[Strionic Resonator[[ ?

Hey all, I'm thinking about making a deck with Ob Nixilis, Unshackled and making the opponents search their libraries. I'm wondering if you can copy Ob Nixilis, Unshackled 's "Whenever an opponent..." ability with Strionic Resonator ? Doesn't really look like you can but I am not sure. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

you can. his ability is triggered. therefore, you can.

Wurmlover Thanks. I knew you could the the second one (Whenever another creature dies...), but wasn't sure about the first.
