Can Goblins be a Modern Force?

I am trying to build around Goblins. They're fast and aggro up well and are more running my mind that Vampires, Elves and Merfolk. The best list I could come up with is this: Jimmy John Goblins. It only wins about 50% of the time. How can I make this work better in Modern?

I think the deck runs out of gas quickly, it basically hits hard and fast by T4/T5, but it does to sweepers and control a lot.

Well sounds like you need more draw.
A crazy idea worth testing though... Run 4x Throne of the God-Pharaoh.

There is also stuff like Sensation Gorger, Sin Prodder, Avaricious Dragon and the like if you want more fuel mid to late game.
(and lets not forget Chandra, Torch of Defiance, Vance's Blasting Cannons

Which decks do you play and win 50% against? Because that would actually be pretty decent, if it's against stock lists (also, you probably shouldn't expect to win much more in any real modern meta).

8 whack looks very fun, I tried a black/red goblin deck in modern but that was way too slow even with the Lord's and shared abilities.

@Entrei turned me on to 8 Whack, and it works well! @Xica brought the Sensation Gorger to my attention and it helped me solve the problem of card draw.

Well what is your main problem? Your list seems fine except for the Rogue's Passage. It's just too dead in your deck. Are you being out aggro'd? Losing to wraths? Unable to interact enough? What's going on?
