Budgeting Eldrazi Processors

Modern Deck Help forum

A while ago, a built an esper processor deck, which was quite cool (ProcEspers).

I do not own the expensive cards in the list, so I decided to try my hand at budgeting the list.

This is how far I got: UB Processors

The mandatory cards in the list are:

4 Ulamog's Nullifier, 4 Delay, 4 Wasteland Strangler, 4 Eldrazi Temple

Pretty much everything else, I am flexible on, so I need all the help I can get, especially with the SB. My budget is 150-200 with the sideboard.

Oh my God. Delay with the eldrazi. I love you. That's amazing jank.

By jank, do you mean good or bad? Actually, I think even without processors, delay is incredibly underrated as a counterspell. Taking something away for three turns might as well be Counterspell if your deck is fast enough to capitalize on it.

I think he means unusual-but-good. I think it's pretty neat as well. Turning Delay into Counterspell is pretty savage.

Yeah it's fantastic.

To get cards into exile there's also things like Relic of Progenitus. It does actual work against a number of decks and at worst cantrips.

Might be worth checking out something like Sludge Crawler, or other cheap ingest creatures. This may be too slow though.

Love to see someone else with as much affection for Delay as I have, and it looks like you've got the perfect shell in which to use it too.

I think he was referring to Delay countering a spell and then Wasteland Strangler removing the countered spell from exile.

I have updated the deck to include a preliminary sideboard and decided to maindeck 4 Fathom Feeder to help with exiling and being a late game mana sink. Current Sideboard:

1x Consuming Vapors - vs aggressive decks
3x Countersquall - vs control
2x Doom Blade - versatile removal
3x Duress - vs control and combo
3x Relic of Progenitus - graveyard hate
3x Vampire Nighthawk - vs aggro
