Budget Modern Heroic Deck (No idea what I'm doing)

Hey guys, I've just come back to magic after about a year and I'm waiting until after kaladesh to make a new standard deck.
I would like to have a go at turning my old heroic deck into a modern deck. I've never played modern so I'm not sure where to start on this, any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

I mean there's no real effective way in modern to make a "Play dudes and buff them" deck unless you're playing Slippery Bogle or Blighted Agent. Heroic creatures are extremely weak in modern.
If you wanted to make the deck anyway, auras with Totem Armor such as Hyena Umbra and Snake Umbra would help a ton.

The big issue besides removal being much more prevalent in modern than old standard is that the deck isn't as fast as other similar decks. The heroic cards you're playing are slow, with the 3 and 4 drop creatures you have in there other decks will be doing much more impactful things like Primeval Titan or just winning outright like burn or infect.
If you are wanting to stick with the heroic theme, I would narrow down to a few specific heroic creatures that carry the most weight in the deck. Favored Hoplite, Lagonna-Band Trailblazer and Akroan Crusader are harder than the other creatures you are playing since they have better toughness or let you go wide. Lightning Bolt is in so many decks that you really do have to account for it, which is why cards like Fabled Hero and Hero of Iroas dont get played in modern. Getting a 3 drop bolted immediately sets you back so far.
What you could play that run similar game plans to heroic decks would be the boggles deck that was mentioned already, infect(probably the most competitive option) along with a few other different options like Kiln Fiend combo. They are some all in strategies that synergize up well but are faster and don't fold to removal as poorly as heroic decks do.

Get rid of all the heroic cards, and use Gladecover Scout, Slippery Bogle, and Silhana Ledgewalker instead. In modern, there's way too much removal to not use hexproof creatures in this kind of strategy.
Also, Ethereal Armor is your best friend forever.
I didn't look at your deck, but if it's like the old heroic decks and you want to keep it that way, Bogle Geist of Saint Traft and Invisible Stalker would be your go to's.
