I play B/G elves with a white for sideboard cards in modern and was thinking about going jund elves for Bloodbraid Elf. I was thinking of cutting Collected Company for Lead the Stampede and run four Shaman of the Pack as extra value

Hey, cutting Company I think is a mistake as it's more powerful than BBE in Elves especially if playing Shaman. You get to choose what two Elves to pick from that Company finds. BBE you don't get a choice meaning you could hit Llanowar or Mystic which is not very good.

Company is also only green letting you cast it early sometimes from a single activation of Heritage or Archdruid. BBE will require adding red mana producing lands to the manabase. Cavern of Souls helps a lot, but you'll need more than just Cavern. Other than BBE and Blood Moon what else does red provide that Elves want?

Consider playing all of them? 4x Company, 2x Chord, 2x BBE with maybe more BBE in the sideboard. If BBE can replace something main deck than I think some Chord or all of Lead can be cut because these cards can't interact with Company either, but BBE is an actual Elf has more overall synergy.

BBE could also be a fine sideboard card for Control matchups because you can cast it uncountable with Cavern. BBE also has other uses it gets around Grafdigger's Cage since you first exile the card you cascade into and then cast it, you don't play it directly from the library. Cage is a sideboard card that an opponent can use to stop Company.

The problem with Bloodbraid Elf in Elves is that you don't really cascade into anything exciting. Best case scenario? You hit Elvish Archdruid or Shaman of the Pack. What's more likely to happen? You cascade into Llanowar Elves/Nettle Sentinel or some other mana dork.

I'd rather use Summoner's Pact, Collected Company, Chord of Calling, Lead the Stampede, a strong artifact (Staff of Domination for instance), or a planeswalker.

At the moment i play 4 CoCo, 3 Chord and 1 Growing Rites of Itlimoc  Flip.a way would be to cut one chord and the rites for two BBE and keep the four CoCo. The way around the cage is a nice option i didnt realy think about. My problem is also if I want more red stuff i would profit other than moons or the BBE. maybe some bolts?

One advantage I think BBE has over Chord is BBE doesn't require any set-up. Chord requires that you have a some what established board of Elves to get the best out of it otherwise it's five mana to even get a two drop. By itself BBE is good, four mana for two cards. Chord can also be good by itself, but you'll need more mana.

In a scenario such as after a board wipe you're just about guaranteed two Elves on the board from casting either Company or BBE where as Chord could be stuck in your hand.

I don't advocate cutting Chord completely as the tutor ability is very good, but out of all the main deck options I see it as the card to trim to playtest BBE.

Aside from 3 drops that elves typically can or do run, Beastmaster Ascension and Nissa, Voice of Zendikar are the best 3 drop hits that grow your board while just being decent value plays. Jagged-Scar Archers is reasonable but the downside is obvious, and my friend playing Elves is pretty dead set on Mul Daya Channelers in this slot for BBE. Right now I don't know tho.
