Any Cool Ideas for 'Emerge' ability??

I'm looking at this emerge ability for my Jund beef-creature deck and I'm getting a bit excited. But uncertain about my options for synergy. Not completely versed in Modern yet.

Obviously, we got stuff like Kitchen Finks, which is awesome. Right now I'm running delve fatties like Tasigur, the Golden Fang. But sacking my board presence for Distended Mindbender? Idk. I feel like I could do better

  1. Distended Mindbender - obviously viable.
  2. Decimator of the Provinces - potential but feels a bit over the top.
  3. Abundant Maw - very viable, imo.

The other B/G colors? Meh.

if u play cards with good etb abilities u should be fine. for example, siege rhino is good for lifegain. then the turn after u could turn it into a 5/5 and remove 2 cards from their hand.

I'm liking Elder Deep-Fiend for grixis control decks that still use Gurmag Angler or tasigur as a quick way to cryptic command their creatures while also "countering" say a path to exile so you can potentially get that creature back of a k command of needed otherwise emerge hasn't really wowed me for modern.

car - yeah i was looking at rhino. excellent idea. but i was looking more at jund colors. still i'm certain i will eventually visit that idea.

dan8080 - i'm also digging elder big time. but yeah, as far as jund goes i think persist and delve is the best im coming up with.

Tons of Emerge Brews

I guess affinity could be good? You run a ton of affinity artifact creatures and then emerge them as their cost would still be (5) even if you paid (2)

BaronNasfix - affinity looks like it makes sense. However, I didn't feel like that's what affinity wanted but maybe it is. In reference to that article I linked the author made some good points. Fills the gap between the less relevant affinity mechanic to making use of a "free" 4CC 2/2 artifact.

Modern is obviously way beyond underpowered Standard. But I still feel like breaking the emerge mechanic isn't too farfetched. Dropping 3 emerging eldrazi on turn 3 is no joke. Just need a mana dork, 3CC creature, and a Sanctum of Ugin. That is, assuming your playing a set of emerge Eldrazis.

The main oppertunity they provide is for some sort of red living end/burn deck featuring cascade, Sin Prodder Kozilek's Return, Nahiri's Wrath Goblin Dark-Dwellers and some emerge to ease up the lategame- its a huge toolbox that hasn't really been played with the new discard engines.

lagotripha I definitely want to snatch a couple Kozilek's Return. Especially now that Anger of the Gods hurts me significantly. And even if Gods didn't Return is just strait up better. Gotta scrap up some doe.

Didn't think too much on Sin Prodder. I'm interested to know more why you mentioned him.

Dwellers has always been a thought here if I went to another build. Of course, it's awkward with the creature/domri theme. Even with that I really like Nahiri's Wrath a lot. Especially, SB. Probably 1x MB at least. Wrath is more reasonably priced and I anticipate it to decline soon as usual with new sets.

I mentioned sin prodder because if you're running a cascade/delve/burn list running discard in addition to cycling you can have a lot of 8 mana spells in your deck, easily cast with delve/emerge,- you draw two of those with sin prodder and thats game- in addition some three mana sustain gives you a lot better chance against the kind of decks that just boardwipe living end. But at the moment its theory.
