So, this was telling. Well, more telling than the last Jace stories, arguably. :p

The new information about the Raven Man is intriguing. While assaulting Lili's mind, Jace managed to see the Raven Man. This story confirmed that he (at least sometimes) appears to her within her own mind, but Jace was quite surprised to see him so perhaps he really is not a usual sort of thing for Jace to find in someone's mind. I like how they all but made up though.

I wonder what kind of experiment they're going to do with The Chain Veil.

Maybe the Raven Man is the daemon's Herald/consort to Lili?

Raven Man is the Imaginary Pet of Liliana.

That aside, this was a good story. I really like it when Lili isn't a dick. That's always nice.

So Lili and Tami PW for EDM? Ravenman card mebe?

Coinman1863 - That wouldn't make sense since Lili saw the Raven Man on Dominaria before her spark ignited.

So, was Jace able to perceive the Raven Man? Does this mean that the Raven Man is a figment of Liliana's imagination? I expect that that particular mystery will not be solved in this arc, but instead be a long-running plot line that shall span multiple blocks.

As most people predicted, this story confirms that Liliana has no involvement with the madness that is afflicting Innistrad, but it was also interesting to see that Jace has now been affected by that madness. The possibility of Jace dying was mentioned in this story, but I do not seriously expect that WotC shall actually kill him, unless they are planning to be very unconventional and shocking.

I wonder when Jace shall encounter Tamiyo and Sorin, since it is nearly certain that all the major characters of this story shall eventually meet. What about Nahiri? Where has she been, all this time?

The story shuts down the theory of Raven Man being a planeswalker. He is just a figment of Lili's imagination. Maybe Lili killed him sometime because he killed her brother, and now he haunts her.

On another forum, some users were speculating that the Raven Man could be either Urza or Lim-Dul (mostly because of their vaguely similar appearances), but those are both very far-fetched theories, indeed.

On that subject, will the artwork of the Raven Man by Chris Rahn ever be used in an actaul product, I hope?

Anyone else pick up on the fact that is was the "real" Jace who saw the Raven Man? That's what time Liliana which Jace to blast with her necro energy. Raven Man could indeed have been there for reals. Gives us no indication of who he is, but still leaves the planeswalker idea wide open. How else, unless he is a dead figment, would he follow Lili?

As for the experiment with the Chain Veil, is it safe to assume it is zombie related since there is a Rooftop Storm involved?

I think the Raven Man is unlikely to be a figment of Lili's imagination ,since he does warn her about Jace trying to intrude in her mind and even states that he is keeping Jace from entering when she had barely just become aware of Jace's attempts.

I'm not sure, but I expect Lili as a necromancer wouldn't be very strong in telepathic defense, much less against a master of the art such as Jace. I suspect the Raven Man chose to let himself be seen to surprise Jace, as an unexpected variable, so Lili could defend herself before his own methods to defend her failed.

Well, I think that Raven Man is just a voice in her head, the one that tells her to kill stuff, her bad side. Jace only saw Raven Man once he was inside Lili's head. Raven Man could be the bloodthirsty, crafty, and careful part of Lili. Raven Man tried to get Lili to kill Jace. If he had enough power to keep himself out of Jace's sight and detect a telepath intruding on a brain that is NOT his own, then he probably has enough power to kill Jace when he is half-dead on the floor. But he didn't, he tried getting Lili to.
