I've seen some people bemoan Nissa stories, but I really liked this one. Nissa struggling to figure out who she is and what power to use was nice. Plus, her fighting Ob Nixilis was an interesting exercise. I especially liked Ob's obsession with Nahiri. He does hate her, a ton, but I wonder if we'll be getting that closure sooner rather than later.

Yay, a good Nissa story! Finally, we get to connect her to the story and see her come back into her own as a character.

That fight was epic. I couldn't resist, but play some LoZ music for that one.

I wonder what happened to Nixy though. Sure, Nissa slammed him against the wall, but did he planeswalk? I'm not sure but I doubt this, but if he stays, it will be Gideon's turn to fight him.

Phaetion - Ob isn't a planeswalker yet. He gets his spark back later in the story. He's likely just buried under some rocks.

Good read to get me through Material Selection.

JWiley129: I don't know...Nixy already uprooted Khalni Heart once. If it recharged Nissa like that, then I'm quite certain that's how he gets his spark back.

Yeah, the end was a bit weird when she just ignored Ob and walked away.

According to the fat pack story insert, Ob gets his spark back from hedrons. More specifically, an Aligned Hedron Network.

Not going to say anything else, though.

Hmmm...I wonder how that will work out. A bit ironic, don't you think? Nahiri slammed a hedron on Nixy's head, draining his powers, and now he gets it back through similar means?

Yep. In the process, f*cking everything up.

They do explain that Ob Nixlis gets his spark back in a future uncharted realms in today's arcana. It also does say that it has to do with him channeling the energies of an aligned hedron network.

Was I the only one hoping Nissa would fail, and have to planeswalk away in order to stay alive? This was a pretty good read, definitely much more exciting than the previous Nissa story, but I was still hoping for different things. I would have rather had this be the UR depicting Ob Nixilis successfully regaining his spark, but hopefully that will be an even more interesting story. Maybe something to do with Nahiri...

Nissa finally doing something that isn't complaining is a welcome change.

This story was excellent, with how Nissa was mature and decisive and did not spend the entire time despairing over the situation. Even better was that she finally regained her connection to Zendikar; so, it was Ob Nixilis who severed her connection, not the Eldrazi?

I also highly doubt that that is the end of Ob Nixilis, as he is too interesting a character to kill off so quickly, and in such a manner. I definitely shall be awaiting his return, later in the story.

Anyone else notice the visual reference used when Nissa was able to 'see the multiverse'?

Blinkmoth Nexus

Not sure if this is just a random card image use, or if it is supposed to be a 'hint'... When corrupted by phyrexian oil, Blinkmoths are turned into Inkmoths (Inkmoth Nexus). - Some people have been assuming that Blinkmoths have been 'eradicated'. Partially due to being hunted for their serum (Serum Visions), and then by becoming corrupted/changed.

If this is a 'hint' by Wizards, it could indicate not only an upcoming return to Mirrodin/New Phyrexia but also that Blink moths still exist.

Just something I noticed... but it may have just been a random card used to exemplify "all of the myriad worlds" seen by Nissa.

The next UR will be "Revelation at the Eye." YES!
