In today's season premiere of Ixalan, we find Jace after his battle with Bolas, who arrived in the strange land of Ixalan. He doesn't know where he is....or even who he is.

Doubtful, she's there for a reason, and that reason is for Bolas. She doesn't know that Jace got his mind scrambled; and will likely use his amnesia against him and the Ravinca Guilds.
The story also proves that any Walker who is on Ixalan is bound to that plane. He tried twice to planeswalk out and both times failed.
One thing I noticed was that the illusions of his comrades show that he does have some fragments of his memory, he just has to put them together.

See idk, it's entirely possible that we might see Vraska turn into a hero slowly, and we do know that Bolas does coerce Planeswalkers into doing his dirty work.

Personally I think that Vraska needs Jace alive more then dead, so yes, she probably will "save" him

Its exciting to see Jace just being himself in the here and now instead of having any past influences on his character. He still uses logic and finds joy in discovery and solving problems. It turns out he is quite like an engineer and I actually found myself relating to him.
I wonder if his interactions with illusory Gideon and Liliana will have any effects on how he feels about them in the future. It sounds like he will be less inclined to cooperate with Gideon. He might still be wary of Liliana but less susceptible to her intrigues or seductions.

Something else to consider
I wonder if down the road; per the leaked box art of Xalan (formerly Atlazan) that we're going to see our leonin friend help Jace find himself, and what role he will play

WOW!
One of the best Magic Story articles in a loong time. Probably my favorite of all time. I liked Jace until he joined the gatewatch, which I hate, and now that Jace is just Jace again, he's a much more interesting and likable character. Very interesting.

Also, this Vraska/Jace interaction sorta explains why Jace is holding the Thaumatic Compass in it's art, since we know it originally belongs to Vraska (given by Bolas) from the flavor text of River's Rebuke

I definitely enjoyed this story, since it did an excellent job of capturing the sense of isolation and despair that Jace was feeling. Many players predicted that Jace would lose his memories, and that prediction did, indeed, come true.
It certainly was an amazing coincidence that Jace met Vraska on Ixalan, or was it? Was their meeting arranged? I wonder how Vraska will treat Jace, since he has lost his memories?
I also wonder, if Jace regains his memories of his time with the Gatewatch and on Ravnica, will he recall his plane of origin? I am certain that that shall happen, eventually.

A Jace memory wiped by Bolas should stay that way. I like the new Jace and hope they don't startup GW for at least 3 blocks, each from a different member of the GW. Jace, Cunning Castaway should stay put for once....

Honestly, I don't want jace to regain his memory. The old jace could be completely summarized as "idea guy," maybe "idea guy who shirks responsibility" at best. That just sounds like a high school gamer know-it-all, but without any emotional depth.
New jace already feels like his character has more depth than the old one, and comes off as more of a problem solver than as a plot device. If Jace regains his memory and remembers his commitment to save the multiverse from bolas, act as the living guildpact, and deal with any issue that comes up anywhere ever again, we're going to end up with that same old Jace who consistently gets himself in over his head and relies on something or someone else to save him from his own innattentiveness.
Just my 2 cents.

This story is actually really interesting, especially since it proves how perfect Jace was as a castaway. It's fitting that an illusion Mage would almost drive themself mad with their own illusion.
Also, the fact that Vraska may be saving Jace... could she be a hero in this story?
