I was so sure they wouldn't include him because that's soooo many blue walkers on the plane now... I was wrong.

I had a feeling good ol' Tezzy was coming back, but looks like Lily is going to join Chandra's revolt.

If Tezzeret is head judge; Bolas is in play here.

He's up to something and it's not good

I have to say I am liking Chandra a lot more as new stories with her come out. Even though Liliana is my #1 planeswalker, I still loved how Chandra was like, "Don't tell me what to do"

If Lili and Chandra puts their heads together, they know that Tezzeret is up to no good and that very much means the Gatewatch has to get involved

GoldGhost012 I can't really see them dropping his mana symbol u. What gets me is that will he keep mana symbol b or move to mana symbol w as he is head judge for the Consulate

Wow, this story was excellent! I see that the prediction of many fans that Tezzeret would appear in this block has proven to be correct; is he acting for Bolas, for Phyrexia, or for himself?

Pia Nalaar is alive? How? I am very eager to hear the explanation for that.

Why did Chandra and Liliana call attention to themselves? Do they not wish to remain quiet and unobtrusive?

Liliana talking to Chandra about dealing with one's past and how it make one stronger makes me wonder if Liliana's own past will be discussed further, at some point, and if she may eventually return to her home plane (I strongly believe that WotC decided to make Liliana's home plane Dominaria specifically to appeal to older fans of this game and also to have a way for the story to sensibly return to that plane, when doing so would be necessary).

Most unsurprising twist ever. A walker who loves artifacts is tied to an artifact matters plane. And it was about time Tezz came back anyway and considering Bolas is coming back, yeah unsurprising.

DemonDragonJ if you note here it never actually confirms that Pia is dead, just that the village burned to the ground and that Chandra thought she died. As we know from many forms of literature if there is no body we can never 100% assume that a character is dead.

As for Tezz, there isn't any reason at time of writing to suspect that he isn't still working for Bolas, the Tezzeret entry here doesn't mention breaking free of his master's influence. He is therefore probably working for Bolas, but I doubt he is doing everything the way the dragon desires. I'm gonna throw down an immediate no for Phyrexia simply because WOTC wouldn't want every artifact world to become Phyrexia, and also because Kaladesh is a world that people will probably want to go back to, without messing it up via Pyrexia.

There you go.

bennybubbles, They just had a story about a machine being invented that could transport inorganic matter through the blind eternities and how dangerous that is. Phyrexians are inorganic.

Prediction: Bolas is trying to engineer another Phyrexian invasion.

Also did you notice how Rashmi was trying to invent a matter transportation machine because the theory was all the rage amongst the Kaladest inventors community?

What's the best way to invent something if you don't know how to? Make it a popular idea and wait for some brilliant young mind to do it for you.

Tezzeret probably started the interest in a matter transportation machine knowing it would get someone on Kaladesh to figure out how to make one.

bennybubbles, you are not the first person who has mentioned that it would not be good for every artifact/metal-themed plane to be invaded by Phyrexia, but the original Phyrexia was one of the greatest threats that the multiverse ever encountered, so, if WotC wishes for new Phyrexia to equal the original, they shall need to have it invade more planes beyond Mirrodin and Elspeth's home plane (which has not even been seen or named, so it does not truly help to portray the threat of Phyrexia).

Also, it has been some time since either Phyrexia or Nicol Bolas has had any direct involvement in the story, so, with WotC having announced that Bolas shall be involved in the next block, it is clear that Tezzeret's appearance in this block shall lead into Bolas appearing in the Amonkhet block, and I personally believe that Tezzeret appearing in this block shall also lead to Phyrexia returning to the story as well. More specifically, I believe that Tezzeret shall either use Rashmi's device to open a portal to Phyrexia, or he shall discreetly spill Phyrexian oil somewhere on Kaladesh (or perhaps even both).

There is no reason why having Phyrexia invade Kaladesh would ruin the plane in a second block, as most players did not complain about Phyrexia invading Mirrodin, so I personally believe that there shall be a second Kaladesh block in several years, in which Phyrexia invades the plane, and perhaps the inhabitants of Kaladesh successfully repel them, to avoid a repeat of the Scars of Mirrodin block. An even better idea would be that, while the inhabitants of Kaladesh are successful in repelling the invasion, some of the plane's more inquisitive and ambitious denizens cannot resist studying the technology of the Phryexians, leading to the oil spreading across the plane. Would that not be awesome?
