Kaya, a ghost-hunting planeswalker, takes on a side job on Fiora.

...and we finally have a name to the face that slew Brago.

My guess is that she's either mana symbol wmana symbol b or mana symbol wmana symbol umana symbol b.

I'd say mana symbol umana symbol b or mana symbol wmana symbol umana symbol b. She plans and thinks her missions out- blue-, does jobs with pay being a significant factor- black-, and has sincere beliefs concerning morality- possibly white. Esper's cool, so I'd be happy.

She could be Dimir too. I only just thought of that.

From the way she looks, i'm going with mana symbol wmana symbol b. I really hope she gets a card on CN2!

Atony1400 I also am really hoping we see her in CN2! I feel like she is mana symbol wmana symbol umana symbol b but only due to the fact that she has morals. A mana symbol umana symbol b PW would have simply killed Revari, taken his money, and left his withered corpse in some alleyway.

First Bant PW in Tamiyo, Field Researcher so let's hope we get our first Esper PW in Kaya!

Agreed, I want to know more about her now!

I was really hoping that there would be one more story to conclude the Shadows Over Innistrad block, as I felt that the previous story did not do enough to show the aftermath of the battle against Emrakul and how the plane and its inhabitants shall recover.

However, this story was a very nice return to Fiora, and I do like the character of Kaya, so I presume that she shall be a major player in the story for the new Conspiracy set. I agree with the other users here that she is some combination of black, white, and blue for her colors (definitely at least two out of the three, and possibly even all three; it would be nice to have the first Esper-colored planeswalker in this game, although it may be too soon after the Bant-colored Tamiyo in Eldritch Moon).

Given that Kaya seems to make a living out of exorcising spirits and helping them find rest, a user on another forum wondered if she would join forces with Teysa on Ravncia to eliminate the Obzedat, as they have been in power for far too long, in my mind.

In this story, it was implied that Emilio killed his own mother, but it was not explicitly stated, so, I am sorry that I need to ask, but how did Kaya arrive at the conclusion that Emilio did that? Was the ring that she found with the mother's body Emilio's?

I definitely am excited for the new Conspiracy set, now, and I shall be very eager to see what happens next.

My guess is the signet. Kaya must have recognized it as the same signet that Emilio wore. Maybe not the same ring, but the same signet/coat-of-arms.

I think this is how she knew about who the ghost was

  1. The noble said that her mother past away but the body was hidden in the floorboards. This shows that the body was hidden and if she past away naturally why hide the body

  2. She knew it was the mother because she had a signet with the what we can assume is the family symbol and so did the noble. This told her that the body was the nobles mother.

  3. The ghost was destroying anything related to the son this told her that the ghost was angry at the son for some reason

  4. So she put all the pieces together and it became obvious that it was the son that did the vile dead

Oh I just remembered the last piece of evidence; the noble's motive which is the mansion that he wanted that his mother wouldn't give him.

I don't think it's speculation whether she's going to be in Conspiracy 2. With such a pivotal role in the story, she's practically confirmed.

I noticed that Kaya was very similar to Sydri, from the second Commander set, in that she performed a service for someone who had questionable motives, and then punished that person, despite having no personal involvement in the issue and that person having paid them, and, as a side note, a number of players, including myself, believe that Sydri is from Fiora, since her home plane has never been mentioned.

It actually is confirmed that Sydri is from Fiora. I can't remember the source.

EDIT: Can't access it, but here's the wiki. The name of the UR where it's confirmed is there.

Phaetion MTG Salvation Wiki agrees with you, but the articles which provided the evidence were on the old website. RIP sources.

Ninja'd. You edited it just before I posted. How does one even edit their post?

Phaetion says... #17

I agree. They REALLY should bring them back. Nope, I guess they were too busy going "hur dur Gatewatch" to do it.

Because I'm the Ninja Sensei! I'm kidding, but you have to upgrade your account to edit (even then, there's like a 5 minute time limit before you can't touch it anymore).

Don't the conspiracy spoilers start in about a week and a half? I found that the release date was the last Friday of August, and WOTC usually finishes previews 2 weeks earlier, and Conspiracy only has one week of spoilers.

She will be a card in Conspiracy 2.0. She's also in a couple of others cards' art, including a really cool-looking regicide.enter image description here
