With Avacyn dead, who will defend Innistrad now? what is the likely hood Sorin will make another guardian angel if he doesnt die.

I got the impression (if it wasn't explicitly stated) from "I AM AVACYN" that Sorin cannot make a new Helvault or Avacyn-like guardian. He tried to renew her instead of destroying her because he can't make her again.

I doubt he'll make another angel. Sigarda apparently isn't affected by the insanity floating around so I have a feeling he'll at least ask if she wants to be one of the guardians in part. If I had to guess I think it would be some kind of joint defense group made of humans as well (Odric\Thalia as the human component commanders?) to assist Sigarda as well as keep her in check.

One thought that I had was that sorin would create an enchantment kind of like Call To Serve that he would bestow on someone worthy. Another idea I had, he could rescue Elspeth from Theros and have her protect Innistrad.

Just like the first time when Avacyn disappeared into the Helvault, Sigarda, Bruna, and Gisela will probably be stuck with that job. The insanity on Avacyn was inflicted by Nahiri, and her Cryptoliths are what are causing all of the strange influences and side effects. Sorin undid the spell that made Avacyn, so she will not be coming back, I do not believe. He probably won't make another one, since it took so much to do it the first time, and failed. Maybe the Voldarens will be enlisted to keep the rest of the vampires in check, while the humans still have to fend off zombies and the such. Not sure what will happen with the werewolves, since Avacyn's madness negated the Cursemute, and now that she's gone, it's not going to be redone.

I imagine Sigarda would take AVacyn's place, and since most of the Markov line was wiped out, that evens the playing field a good amount
