Could there be a connection?

I was playing EDH recently and checking flavor text and found what could be a correlation.

Traumatize from a few sets and Balthor the Defiled share rather similar flavor text and while I realize the flavor text of the original Traumatize from Odyssey said "Dreads had half a mind to leave" and doesn't seem relevant... I still feel it was to much fun to let be.

I thought it was interesting to note. Thoughts?

I really doubt it. It looks more like they just recycled flavor text. Be it on purpose or on accident. But even if they were connected what would it matter? So maybe Balthor was hit with a Traumatize at one point? k...what does it matter?

WHY DOES IT ALL MATTER, WE'RE JUST GONNA DIE SOMEDAY AND IT'S ALL GONNA BE DUST AND NOBODY WILL REMEMBER YOU ANYWAY AND THE ENDLESS DRONING OF THE HUMAN WORKER BEES WILL MARCH UNWAVERINGLY INTO THE SUN AND BURN

working jobs we hate to buy shit we dont need?

It's tricky though...I like it. Traumatize would be a good enabler for a Balthor the Defiled combo deck though. Very nice find.

Could be, if mtgsalvation is correct he died, so it would not refer to the spell Traumatize but rather to a trauma in general. I hope my thoughts make more sense than Balthor's.
