Could Kiora become the Sea God?

I was just wondering if when we return the Theros, could Kiora be the sea god instead of Thassa. Since last time she messed up her devotion.

No.

The Theros Gods exist because people believe in and worship them. The means for Xenagos' apotheosis are completely unknown, but it can be assumed it was through some sort of inhumane ritual, and/or was at least partially aided by the fact the his armies (who were in themsevles eldritch, otherworldly monsters that essentially substituted as his believers) had seriously injured the ability of the Gods to interact with Theros from Nyx, implying a serious if brief tear in the way the plane interacts with Nyx. Even then, Xenagos didn't replace a God, he simply rose to godhood; Kiora would not be able to become God of the Sea until the "position", as it were, was available, and given Thassa is one of the five principle Gods, the God of the Sea would likely be quickly replaced if the people of Theros chose to stop worshiping her.

I mean, if enough people believed in her, it's possible right? #Kiora for sea god 2020

it would take insanely long. to continue off of kanokarob's post, the people of theros would have to stop believing in a sea God, then to start believing in Kiora as the sea God or somehow start believing that Thassa was a fake sea god all along and that Kiora is the real one...

Even if she could I don't see the need for it storywise. Next time we go to Theros the story will revolve around getting Elspeth out of dead jail, probably by yours truly, the Jacetice League at the behest of Lion-O (Ajani). How Kiora would fit into that I am not sure.

Well, it's possible I guess in the same way Xenagos did. Kruphix told Kydele that Heliod was NOT the first sun god, but nobody knows who was since they wree forgotten (and that's why the lost their godhood). Same would have to happen to Thassa.
