Rares/Mythics you would hate to open at pre-release.

I'm just wondering which cards you would hate to open at pre-release.
Primarily, I'm looking for the cards you think have little or no use and would be unplayable...

For me... I'm thinking:
- Crucible of Fire - there are only 2 dragons, and they are both rares. On the off chance you get one to go with this, it's a card space that only helps boost one other creature.
- Chain Veil - On the off chance you get this AND a Plainswalker, it could be good... but you would have to get both in play.
- Sliver Hivelord - In limited, I can't see getting enough slivers to make it worth running 5 colors... just unplayable in the pre-release.

I think the rest of the Mythics/Rares could at least be playable... though a few others are highly dependant on other cards... like Waste Not and Necromancer's Stockpile (Black Rares are actually the worst... good thing it has the best promo)

I knew people who tried to force 5-color when they pulled Chromanticore . Sliver Hivelord is arguably better since it's a 5/5 indestructible beatstick that is impossible for any non-White deck to remove. Throw in a couple Evolving Wilds (very possible being a common) and it's possible.

Brood Keeper could make Crucible of Fire playable, but it would be VERY dependent on your pool.

Grindclock would be pretty meh. Without it in your opening hand, it'll just be too slow, even for limited.

Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient would be a pretty bad pull if you don't get any artifacts.

Sliver Hive would suck if you pull no slivers.

Stain the Mind is pretty useless in limited. It'd be awesome if you could just strip a card from their deck without having to name one, though.

If there's a card even slightly close to Heroes' Podium or Glaring Spotlight , I will probably open twenty of those.

Chain Veil Sliver Hivelord ,and Sliver Hive would be the ones I'd flip tables over if I pulled them. There are probably a few others as well, but i can name them off the top of my head.

The original hive, The Hive makes me sad. It was always printed at rare, too. It is not to be confused with Sliver Hive , which is nearly assuredly superior. I'd be fine with now owning a Sliver Hive.
