I have a semi good idea of what I need (things like Hero of Bladehold) but I'm wondering what T/O thinks are good (budget) G or W midrange cards for cube.

Do you have any archetypes involving these colors you wish to use? Or their power level?

Phalanx Leader, Precinct Captain, Mother of Runes, Brown Ouphe (weird one, but useful), Curse of Predation, Travel Preparations.

Loxodon Heiarch, Kitchen Finks, Loxodon Smiter, Wilt-Leaf Liege. All on or above curve. All have a relevant ability for gaining or maintaining board control, or punish another archetype.

I have always felt GW works best in cube as a deck designed to punish flaws in other peoples decks. Stuff like CataclymTragic Arrogance style effects to punish slower decks, or decks attempting to out board position you. Smiter and Hierarch as ways to punish counterspells if you hold up mana for them. Etc

This is pretty dependant on your Cube's archetypes/themes & power level. If you're running a bit of discard at a moderate power level, Wilt-Leaf Liege is great. If you run a lot of tokens, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice or Collective Blessing might be better.

I don't think there's been a bad suggestion for you yet, but I would be wary of too multiples on a theme.
