Best Clan for draft?

Limited forum

I have drafted a few times in the kahns of tarkir set and have tried junk, america, and mardu. But three clans always beat me: Junk, Bug, and elemental. (abzan sultai and temur). which is a better deck to draft. I am leaning towards delve and self mill. It works really quick, especially when the opponent helps you mill.

B/g/whatever has done crazy good for me and anyone I've seen running it. The more I draft the more and more Archers' Parapet is a legit pick 2-3. He's such a brick and can whittle your opponents down if you ever end with open mana. Combine that with a Kin-Tree Invocation and your golden

I've drafted Abzan so far and it was very good. Didn't get any outlast guys, but Incremental Growth is basically game over.

Temur is good if you pull card draw and morphs with creature return a few counters and a card like Thousand Winds . I won pre-release with 2x Sultai Flayer 2x Snowhorn Rider 1x Hooting Mandrills 1x Thousand Winds 1x Jeering Instigator 2x Glacial Stalker 1x Temur Charger 1x Scaldkin 2x Sagu Archer 2x Arrow Storm 2x Weave Fate 1x Seek the Horizon 2x Secret Plans 2x Savage Punch 1x Waterwhirl 2x Force Away 2x Temur Banner 1x Trail of Mystery 19 land including one three color and 3 swiftwater and 1 r/g fetch.

I picked Temur in prerelease, but Abzan certainly seemed to be one of the better ones. One kid came in with 10 minutes left to build for the prerelease and threw together a deck that did really well. Madru is also really easy to build, but Abzan is probably the easiest/best. Aggro on a consistent basis is generally what you want.

And by that I mean drafting Outlast should be really good.

Some people told me that white and black do super well in limited, so currently, Abzan and Mardu are the best. Since Sultai has black and Jeskai has white, they can also be good, but ultimately since Temur has neither, I assume it's probably the worst. Then again, I literally haven't played limited with KTK, but a lot of my friends play pretty competitively, so I'd trust their judgment.

Having drafted this format exactly 1 time and drafting a Jeskai Goblinslide deck I can (un)confidently say that Goblinslide is a top tier deck.

Ok, in all seriousness, drafting this format felt weird. I first picked Flying Crane Technique because DUH and proceeded to draft Jeskai pretty hard. Pack 1 got a little sketchy so I started picking up some green cards and hedging into Temur, but I got set up with some good Jeskai cards like Warden of the Eye and Efreet Weaponmaster , along with 2 Goblinslide I got in Pack 2 and Pack 3.

My quick review of Goblinslide . my deck ran 10 noncreature spells, including a Hordeling Outburst for extra goblin value and swinging for 20 with 5 goblins and a 5/3 Warden of the Eye after a Flying Crane Technique . If built correctly, you'll get enough goblins out of Goblinslide to make it worthwhile.

I have found that Archers' Parapet , Disowned Ancestor , Kin-Tree Invocation , and other assorted goodies ends up being great. You don't need to run a clan. I can usually draft great 2 color.
