Soldier of the Pantheon how effective is it to run 4 of these in a white weenie?

I don't know that he would be terribly good, as there are not as many multicolored removal spells/spells in general in Legacy that I've seen, and there are several ways in most decks to deal with X/1s to get True-Name Nemesis out of the way (if they can't just Lightning Bolt it or Swords to Plowshares it).

From what I know of legacy, I'm inclined to agree with Nigeltastic. He's still a good creature, so I'm having trouble finding a replacement off the top of my head though.

He plays around Abrupt Decay , but Soldier of the Pantheon is otherwise just a better Savannah Lions in Legacy. I think you want more disruptive hatebears first things first, like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben or Dryad Militant . Even if you're not playing Death and Taxes, you still need disruptive cards to deal with combo.

No, Soldier of the Pantheon has just too little impact for the Legacy format. It would quite literally be taking up slots from better cards.

Is this the deck you're working on? If so, you already have most of the expensive cards for D&T out of the way, namely Karakas and Stoneforge Mystic .
