Legacy forum

Looking to get into legacy but me being me...I dont have a lot of cash.......what would be a good deck to build.....I also would rather not go with a specific archetype at this point....wat cheap cards are really good in legacy and wat are some good cheap win cons......I want to make this as competitive as possible.....would rather not go too much over $60...thanks all

For $60 you can't do much of anything in Legacy, unfortunately. Even Oops All Spells is over $300 without a sideboard. Legacy is the home of $3000 decks if you want to play competitively. Dredge, the cheapest Legacy deck, is still around $400 if you have the Lion's Eye Diamonds. You could try building Dredge without them, but even then $60 just won't cut it. Even in modern, $60 can get you budget Bogles, budget Infect, and maybe budget BW tokens. I'd recommend getting into budget Modern instead, given that Standard is just as expensive as Modern and rotates.

First, this isn't really a deck help request. It's more of a discussion of what's good or playable in the meta.
Now, onto the substance of your post. $60 and competitive is a very, very difficult deal. In Legacy, a format infamous for its high barrier to entry, it's basically impossible. I don't get the impression from your post that you've actually done much research on Legacy, which is fine if you're just exploring options, but it would behoove you to think about whether this is a format you actually can get into.

None of the decks in this link are genuinely competitive, but it may be an okay starting point for figuring out what is within your reach. The mono blue Delver or mono red Burn look fun, and should pull out an occasional win against a bad draw or a slow deck. You may also be able to improve a bit on either.

Doomsday is a fairly decent budget deck (I play the budget deck listed myself), as mentioned above, though a bit complicated to play. I recommend playing the "Cephalid Breakfast" combo deck. I'll link my list just for reference, I typed up a primer to teach you how to play the deck. If you'd like to learn more about the deck, I would just search it up, I'm sure you'll find something helpful on a forum.

jrogers16 that's a cool deck, but I think you numbers are a bit off in your description. You say that this deck is faster than Oops! All Spells and Dredge, but you list a turn two win as having a probability less than 5%. Oops! All Spells has a turn one win percentage of like 40%, let alone a turn two win.
I think you mean to say not 5%, but 50%. Just a minor correction.

Baltec I couldn't actually find where I wrote 50% instead of 5% (I'm sure it's somewhere, I probably just missed it), but if I did write that, I definitely meant 5%.
As for the Oops! And Dredge vs. this deck thing, I should clarify something. I didn't really make this clear in my primer, but when I say that this deck can be faster than these decks, I mean budget versions of these decks (under $100 versions). If you've ever tried to play with a budget Dredge or Oops! deck, it can be a nightmare getting very consistent early-game wins. Obviously Oops! and Dredge decks without a budget will be better than my deck, it wasn't designed to beat them. Thanks for pointing this out, it helps the primer out a lot!

I would suggest How Budget Can Budget Get?. The deck is $25 and is fun and wacky.

There was a forum a little earlier that was talking about trying to get in modern for $30.
As for legacy, this is much of the same deal. Trying to get a deck that is decent in legacy for $60 is pretty much impossible. You can do some janky casual deck, but anything remotely competitive is going to be of huge trouble.
That being said, it also is important to know what style of decks you like playing, what will you be playing this deck against, and other such things.
