I'm thinking about trying out 2 Sin Prodder in burn.the fact that it can reveal Fireblast is making me want to try it out.it's also uncounterable damage when not removed. and when you have cast it, you don't really care about not drawing lands anymore because you already have 3 mana.what are your thoughts on this?would like to know.

this is my list:

burn though brainstorm with sin

No, too expensive.

In burn, the most expensive card you are playing is 2 mana at most - Flame Rift. Paying 3 for something that does nothing impactful is diluting your gameplan.

@Boza Sulfuric Vortex says hi. It's been a staple in Legacy burn for a long time.

That being said, Sin Prodder just isn't worth it. On average, he would deal about 1.5 damage per flip. His ability does about half a Lightning Bolt on average, so his ability is weaker than the damage on Sulfuric Vortex. Additionally, they can choose to let you draw inconsequential cards, reducing the amount of damage even further.

His body is pretty sweet though. If you think you can get at least one upkeep and one attack to the face with him whenever you play him, then his rate isn't terrible. I just hope there isn't a lot of Death and Taxes in your meta, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben eats him for breakfast.

Vortex is also a bitch to remove and can end the game for burn in grindy match ups. Sin proffer is just slow expensive and easy to kill.

It seems unreliable to me. It deals zero damage if you reveal a land. Also, the least that you can start this effect is the first trigger on turn 4. Vortex triggers turn 3, and vortex shuts down lifegain, and yea, like EndStepTop said, it is hard to remove
