Original Winter Orb Lock

It has proven to be very hard to find one of the original Winter Orb lock decks and I would like to know what they played. I also would like to know of any modern day cards that could help. My budget is 200 dollars.

This is a deck based on Winter Orbs big brother Stasis. It would probably work with winter orb, check it out Tipping the Scale

With a derth of 1-2 mana answers in Legacy, the Orb Tax decks have evolved into three forms.

Eldrazi Stompy, MUD and Tribal Stompy.

These decks use fast mana and lock effects like Trinisphere, Chalice of the Void, Lodestone Golem, Thorn of Amythest, Blood Moon etc to lock the other player out the game.

Eldrazi Stompy is probably the best shell. Between SSG, Sol lands and eye of ugin. They can tap out and play orb and still have 4-5 mana next turn for a seer or smasher. It is also the best new list.

MUD doesnt want its lands to remained tapped due to it wanting to cast its big drops but between Metalworker and Monolith it can use it and with the errata update tapping and untapping it is an option.

The old Winter Orb deck was actually Icy Manipulator control.
