Legacy Deck Help forum

This is what I've managed to come up with so far, any input is welcome.

Proliferate

Glad new people are getting into legacy. However, your decklist is totally not viable. Proliferate is too slow and clunky to be a effective synergystic deck in legacy. I would reccomend either going to legacy infect, or an affinity type deck. The first one's goal is the same as yours, to kill your opponent with infect counters, but instead of using the slow proliferate cards it uses cheap pump spells, some even costing essentially nothing. Affinity is simply playing lots of artifacts, which let you play other artifacts for nothing or near nothing, eventually out- tempoing your oppponent. I would look up one of those two decklists, if you want play to feel similar to what your deck currently is.

I've already made a green infect deck, the type which you've described, I do agree this is too slow, but I believe there has to be a way to at least get this a bit faster pace. If anything it'll be my 2HG deck for the upcoming tournament I'll be playing in. I would like to be able to make it standalone as much as possible.

Our TO once organized 2hg legacy tournament. Every single pair played combo + protect. It's only viable strategy in format. One plays glasscannon turn 1 combo deck and another plays deck, which has nothing but counters and discard to disrupt opposing team's combo and to protect their team's combo. If you want to win there, I suggest using that strategy. This would work as protect deck and All spells is probably good for combo deck.

Well, I'd prefer to try and get this type of deck to at least be viable, my main competition in this tournament is a discard mill combo and a life gain mill combo, so, witchbane orb and infect, not much competition anymore. I'd prefer it to be as competitive as possible in a stand alone format, I think I may add some level up cards and try and find a balance with them that doesn't disrupt my proliferate too much.

if your competition is mill in legacy, you aren't playing real legacy

Just saying it's my biggest competition, not very much competition, but with my current deck build, kinda annoying. Well, with this in-progress deck build it'd be annoying, it's not much against my actual green infect.
