What mad science am I missing?

Thinking about putting together a cube (including silver border) with a mad scientist feel.

Still in the brainstorming stage, not even sure what I want all the faction focuses to be and I want to make sure I'm not missing anything before making those decisions, so I'd appreciate any suggestions.

What I've thought of so far:

  • host/augment from Unstable (likely the WG focus)
  • contraptions from Unstable (could be generic, could be UR)
  • a lot of the Kaladesh block, in particular energy counters and vehicles (vehicles may be WR)
  • a fair amount of the Izzet League and Simic Combine from the Ravnica-centric sets
  • the emerge cards from eldritch moon
  • a LOT of Ikoria and C20, particularly mutate (though may get complicated with augment also present) and ability counters, and, of course, Shark Typhoon; not so much cycling
  • (peobably) dice rolling from various silver border sets; science? Not so much, but the unpredictable results seem thematic
  • (maybe) madness cards (as the BR faction) since it is mad science, after all

What am I missing?

All thoughts/suggestions/links to cubes that beat me to it appreciated.

The Delver of Secrets  Flip lineage. Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist and his UB zombie brethren. New Phyrexian cards like Gitaxian Probe. Riptide Laboratory, and some Simic and izzet nonsense from the Ravnica sets. Monstrosity cards from Theros, Adapt cards from Guilds.

Just suggestions off the top of my head.

In case you have not seen these. Here are a couple in a "Frankenstein's Monster" kind of theme.

Brain in a Jar, Scour the Laboratory, Amass the Components, Alchemist's Apprentice. Including the Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde card as well; Civilized Scholar  Flip.

And, in case you wanted to see the lineup for the Delver of Secrets  Flip series, you can see all three here: Once It Was Human.

I am a fan of mad scientist decks, have fun building your deck.

Thanks both of you for the suggestions and links.

I'd remembered Adapt, but I'd completely forgotten monstrosity and that Innistrad has mad science horror in addition to werewolf/vampire horror.

Ludevic and his buddies should definitely make an appearance, along with Vial Smasher the Fierce if I go in a multiplayer/commander direction, which I'd like to.

I think the color hack cards definitely have a mad scientist but I'm not sure how good they would be.

Ruffigan they're super niche but are definitely fun with Momir Vig, Simic Visionary definately a mad scientist and the best leader simic had.

Started trying to come up with commander/commander pairs (with all 1 and 2 color legendaries allowed to be commanders and having partner).

Trying to start at the top (3 color), but I think Urza will definitely go on the list once I get to mono-colored. Momir made the list, so thanks for that.

Can't get the link to preview, so just pasting the link to the cube (very preliminary and filtered to legendaries): https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/5ec042ab6c26474a6c9cddfe?view=spoiler&f=Type%3Alegendary

Just could not find good Orzhov options, the Bant ones feel weak, the mardu ones other than snapdax don't 100% fit; planning to tweak Syr Gwyn to let you replace knight with the creature type of your choice.

Also defining Transformers (on Grimlock) to include all double-sided cards, like Ulrich.
