Really irritating(For your opponents)

So I have come across a really fun, for me, combo. Ugin, the Spirit Dragon in play along with Painter's Servant. Float enough mana to cast Xenagos, the Reveler and then use Ugin's -X ability. Choose a value that will wipe everything but Ugin. The play Xenagos, and kill them with satyrs. (: What are some combos that you have come across that just really irritate you or your opponent?

This isn't a combo. It's just an interaction (between Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Painter's Servant, that is). The business with Xenagos, the Reveler is just playing the card.

Normally, when players use the word "combo," they're talking about (1) a set of interactions that form a loop that can be repeated ad nauseam or (2) a set of interactions that creates a hard or soft lock that prevents opponents from taking actions.

That said, the Ugin+Servant interaction is really nice for wiping lands.

What Epoch Said

However that IS a fun "interaction"

You could probably build a jank Modern Tron list with that interaction.

I was thinking the same thing, Bellock86, but he lacks synergy with the rest of the deck. Plus, what would he replace?

One of in the main for me in place of one Talisman of Dominance taking that down to three. I then go grab it with Fabricate I would think.

Oh look I have Karn and ugin and a Wurmcoil Engine.

"-0 ugin and our lands die then exile something with karn and then swing with wurmcoil"

Opponent sits there with dumbfounded look on his face. Then just plus ugin until you get to ult and drop more wurmcoils. If they hhaven't scooped already they deserve to be wurmed to death. Lol

Ahh see I only run 3 Talismans and Treasure Mage in place of Fabricate for the body and I never need the artifacts less than 6. For land destruction I'd mostly want to just run an additional Tec' Edge and/or a second Sundering Titan.

I was unaware of the "proper usage" of the word combo in regards to MTG. It was about the only word I could think of at the time. That being said, interaction does seem to work better here. I threw together a Casual Modern deck to test it all out, but very much considering going tron with it.

ApocryphalSaint What format are you defining as "commonly played?" Painter's Servant is legal in modern, legacy and vintage. The only format it's actively banned from is commander...
