My New Format - Grip of Storm Mind

Me and a bunch of people were hanging out after school playing some casual Magic, when 4 of us decided to try and make our own format. It actually turned out to be pretty fun, just because of all the hilarious things that happened while playing it. The starting premise is that you play as if there is always a Possibility Storm, a Hive Mind and a Grip of Chaos on the field. But as time went on, we added more rules, all creatures attack each turn if able, and they have to choose a random player to attack, they can also attack their controller. We then decided that any spell or ability that can only target "Things YOU control', or triggers "Whenever YOU do something" is open game for everything. Then, as a finishing touch, we decided that there should be a Hive Mind for abilities too, so now that's a thing. We played the format, and one of my friends played a cipher deck, it got pretty crazy, pretty fast, but it was really fun. I am posting this here so other people can give advise on the format and add more rules to make it even more fun and unpredictable!

Have a permanent Timesifter on the field, now turns are random too. Also, resolving a Warp World or Scrambleverse every X number of turns could also make the game even more ridiculous.

You might also want to write up a formal list of rules for your format. This way we can offer better suggestions.

I like your idea. But I think, that it is a little too hard, to remember everything :D

I was thinking about making a similar format. You use about 20 cards like Possibility Storm, Hive Mind and Grip of Chaos, as a deck. Every 3rd round, you take the top card of the deck (the deck is in the middle of the table), and then play it for free. This card is in the middle of the game. It's nobodies. Every time a new card is played, you take the card that is already in play, and put it on the bottom. Then you will always have a weird effect going on. :D

I actually had a similar idea to use cards like Possibility Storm, Hive Mind, and Scrambleverse as a sort of Planechase cards in EDH.

It's quite fun, and makes those people who try to make EDH a competitive thing feel pretty bad about most of their card choices. It varies by person, of course.

I like the Timesifter idea, and Scrambleverseing every few turns could be cool. I'll have to run it by the other that made up the format. I will also get their help to make an official rules list, and try to post it here soon.
