This is a format I made after finally realizing Spellcaster was dumb. The format is focused on choosing an artifact along with your commander for an 80 card deck for multiplayer. My format.

Basalt Monolith + Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy is one I can think of right off the bat. Maybe I should ban one of them.

Oh and Sol Ring was banned as well as Black Lotus and the Moxen because of that same reason of turn one artifacts.

Funkydiscogod, I don't think that is necessary. By banning every two card combo, that would effectively ban approximately half the artifacts in the game. Let's focus on defining the metagame before we decide what needs to be done about it.

There are less artifacts than legendary creatures, so banning legendary creatures involved in combos would be more effective.

Omniscience_is_life, Funkydiscogod, I have given you both access to edit the stats, so you can add more stats as you build decks. Please be sure to use the same format I used for Daxos.

To add to my above comment, to add a deck to the stats, export it, then paste it in to its proper commander page, subtract the commander from it, change the talisman to the sideboard of the stat page, then add the link to the added decks where it says "sources".

The decklists on a commander page are supposed to be stacked, so don't try to edit the cards already listed, only add them.

Is it not the case that having a guaranteed mana doubler on turn two is a possibility in regular commander? I think that’s kinda how commander is meant to be, you know you have access to a card, and sometimes it’s a good one. I would tend to agree with more of a restriction route, for sure

I am moving Helm of the Host from banned to restricted. I see how it can be fun, but it will remain restricted (meaning it can't be your talisman, it can be in your deck though) until further notice. If you have concerns about any particular card, message me and i will determine if it needs banning.

Looks cool to me! There are a few artifacts (or should I say talismans??) that I can think of right off the bat, (imagine having a turn-one Sol Ring EVERY GAME) so that’s a good sign. I do wonder how many infinite combos people could have with just their commander and talisman...
