Hero's Path EDH (Suggestions Appreciated)

Lately me and my playgroup has been trying to spice up our games a bit. We have a commander variant of Face the Hydra, a Horde Deck, a 100 card Archenemy deck that we ether build a deck from and have regular Archenemy or we share the deck, and a planechase deck that we use a shared deck as well as occasionally Blind Eternities it.
I have been looking at the Hero's Path Theros prerelease cards and I think that something fun could be had with them so here is my idea.

Start of game the players choose or gain at random one of the first five cards in their command zone (The Protector , The Philosopher, The Avenger, The Warrior, and The Hunter) these cards abilities work inside the command zone and can be responded to just like any ability.

At the beginning of the player's turn, if their turn count is three or higher, they have a chance to obtain The Harvester the requirements are for the player to have ether had two lands or two creatures enter the battlefield their previous turn or have casted at least two spells.

The players then have a chance to obtain The Slayer at the beginning of their turn if their turn count is at least 4, have The Harvester, and have killed an opponent's creature the previous turn. (Note: This hero card has an ability that normally would only work at the start of the game, the correct this the ability "Start with 7 life" becomes "Gain 7 life").

The turn after the players gain The Slayer they can choose or obtain at random one of the five hero cards (The General, The Savant, The Tyrant, The Warmonger and The Provider) these have exile abilities however the player player doesn't lose the fact that they obtained these cards if they use them.

At the beginning of the player's turn, if the players turn count is at least 6 and have obtained one of those five cards, the player can make a choice to return 3 lands to their hand and if they do they obtain The Explorer.

At the beginning of the player's turn, if the player's turn count is at least 7, if they have The Explorer, and have destroyed at least two creatures controlled by different opponent's they will obtain The Vanquisher (Note: Just like with The Slayer this card has an effect that works at game start, to fix it just replace the "start with an additional card" with "draw a card").

The turn right after the player obtains The Vanquisher they have can choose or obtain randomly one of the five hero's equipment (Spear of the General, Cloak of the Philosopher, Lash of the Tyrant, Axe of the Warmonger or Bow of the Hunter) these are equipped to a creature directly from the command zone and if they would leave play or fall off a creature they go back to the command zone.

If the player's turn count is at least 9, and have one of the hero equipments then as soon as they defeat an opponent they obtain The Destined.

If the player's turn count is at least 10 and has The Destined then as soon as they defeat another opponent they obtain The Champion.

This is just a rough idea at the moment, I am open for suggestions on balancing this and/or ways to make it better.

I have a The Destined lyiing around, maybe this will be a way to use it!
