Anyone have any good ideas for a tiny leader general? thanks.

I have recently been experimenting with Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest and he seems fun. Have also been considering Anax and Cymede, but it is really all about your playstyle. How do you like to play?

Kira, Great Glass-Spinner is what I've been considering for mono-. Have also been thinking about mill, but the only general option is Sygg, River Cutthroat

Isn't tiny leaders a format based off of commander but with more similarities in card choices and gameplay to vintage or legacy? If this is the case, why is this in the commander format?

Not directed to OP, just merely asking because I'm uninterested in tiny leaders 110%, whereas commander is my main format :)

I use Tymaret, the Murder King in a Tiny Leaders sac deck. He's great because 1. He's cheap, and 2. If he dies, you can just let him go into the graveyard, sac something, and pull him out for 1B.

I feel like Brimaz, King of Oreskos could be good. I've got a deck around him I haven't tested much yet, but he feels like a good guy to always have.

I think Ezuri is the go-to cheap build for a tiny commander deck. Probably cost you $20 to build it, and it will keep pace with thugs, if not win. But hey, hard to complain for a deck that will continue to evolve and get better. Elves have always been, and will always be a favorite tribe, so you can expect more cards for your deck regularly.

Legitimately? Geist of Saint Traft, and I really don't think it's all that close- Why?

It has to do with the combination of his abilities, along with incredible equipments (Sword of Fire and Ice), incredible auras (Steel of the Godhead), and the best counterspells/removal you could play. Yes, I realize that certain equipments can't be played, and that certain spells can't be played (Armageddon...), but I still believe that deck's easily T1.

I've been finding that these tiny leader decks are a LOT more competitive than usual EDH. It's super fun and super tense. That said, True-Name Nemesis with counter spell backup is king, end of story. If you can tutor up some swords with Stoneforge Mystic, even better.

One spell that i've found absolutely amazing in general, and especially with TNN, is the new Scroll of the Masters. Get it early, just do your thing, and swing for a ton.

Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest and Alesha, Who Smiles at Death are my generals and they are really fun both to build around and play.

Just making sure for my own tiny leaders decks I'm brewing. Color identity works the same here as commander right ? So shu yun is jeskai and Alesha is Mardu right?

Color identity is any colored mana symbols anywhere on the card except reminder text so Bosh, Iron Golem is red.

I'm thinking of playing Nin, the Pain Artist with one or two infinite mana combos, counter, burn and bounce. Make infinite mana, mill my opponents with Nin and Blue Sun's Zenith or hit them with Red Sun's Zenith and its like. How viable would that be?

Geist of Saint Traft never wins.

Aggro decks are always top play. Animar, Soul of Elements, Ezuri, Renegade Leader and Kemba, Kha Regent probably are the strongest. I also see lots of Athreos, God of Passage running around, but haven't lost to it yet. It is good because of it's ability to utilize wraths. Other abilities that are powerful are infect and mill, so watch out for those and don't forget to side against them.

Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh  Flip has been absolutely explosive for me! :)

What was that about Geist not winning? Also, what commander could you use for infect? Sadly our game is lacking in Sultai legendaries at 3 cmc. Unless that was meant sarcastically. But that does make me want to try infect in tiny leaders... Maybe Glissa?
