Co-op Magic?

I'm looking a variant to Magic the Gathering, something that is piloted by a sort of AI. I know that horde magic is a thing, but every attempt at that ends the same way, with the horde not able to actually do anything, and just getting absolutely curb stomped. Is there some sort of multiplayer co-op/RPG magic varient that exists?

Aside from Two-Headed Giant, there is Archenemy. You can also do Explorers of Ixalan and just be on tribal teams like two Vampire decks and two Pirate decks.

THG is also super fun with EDH decks.

However if you do Archenemy I suggest you use a hyper-aggressive deck. Most T1 decks are only good on 1v1 battles. They get out-right crushed by anything more.

You can use a Modern deck. Everyone else used basic 100 card EDH decks.

Your advantage is a quicker engine with more cards. Their advantage is a much larger card pool and working together.

We did this in my group and it's actually super fun. A well built Modern deck using an Archenemy deck wreaks havoc across EDH decks that aren't designed to win pro tours, lol.

Trust me. Anybody reading this, before you shit on me for it, try it. It's just stupidly fun.

Make your horde deck stronger. Put better cards in it. They can get absolutely out of control if built right.

I have had lots of fun playing a sort of Bang magic variant. I've also seen it called Usurper and King.

You can Google the rules. I have made some variations on the theme as well:

These are all very interesting concepts, but all but most are about PvP varients. I looking for PvE
