Do Satyr tokens get buffed by Muraganda Petroglyphs ? Picture below:

Sounds easy, but no. The only card that makes Satyr tokens printed in Theros is Xenagos, the Reveler, who lets you "Create a 2/2 red and green Satyr creature token with haste."

Why make tokens that ARE LITERALLY INCORRECT. WHY.

/rant (okay, I might be able to go some more actually...)

In RTR block they did the same thing with the red/white soldier tokens they didn't have haste on the token but Assemble the Legion made them with haste

remember when these tokens came out 5 years ago? ones since have been pretty good about being correct. Remember when an entire mechanic had token copies of cards included in booster packs that were accurate to the card that made it?

Every token that is created with only Haste and no other abilites is printed without an ability box because 1) Having haste is only relavant for one turn, not something you need to remember without a petroglyphs in play, and 2) Cuz why would you want to see that text box when we can see a full art version? I know, it annoys me too, which is why I would prefer if they were all written as in Rebellion of the Flamekin or Warren Weirding, where instead of having haste they gain haste for a turn.

Ah, but you see, there is a mechanical difference. If an opponent takes control of a token with haste, via something like Control Magic, then haste matters again. This wouldn't be the case if the card generating tokens only gave them haste for the turn.

Which makes the gain haste tokens strictly better... so I vote wizards templates haste-only tokens like that still.

Strictly better? What about when you copy one of your own tokens with a Clone effect or Populate? Having built-in haste means those let you attack right away.

Maybe the real question is why we are Clone-ing or Control Magic-ing a token with 2 power, eh? Like, if that matters that much, we should probably scoop now before things deteriorate and we Path our own Goyf for the lands.

Right, because after one is proven wrong when claiming something is impossible, the correct response is to then talk about the probability of those possibilities, even though it doesn't really matter.

Yes. They do get buffed. Haste is a keyword not an ability.

TuckerMTG: Wrong. Haste is a "keyword ability". It is in every way an ability.
