Why no Singleton Format besides Commander?

Hey guys, I was looking into playing Singleton just for fun. Is there a TAPPED OUT hub for that or do I just use Casual/Free Form?
Thanks everyone

EDH has some unique rules to it, but it's just another way to play magic. The website to check out is mtgcommander.net since the rules of the format are kept there. Also now is a pretty good time to try out Commander, but if you're just getting started I might wait for the Commander 2014 product to come out in November as the pre-constructed decks are usually a good entry point.

Well Commander isn't quite like Modern, but you can go read the articles on Commander by Epochalyptik as they are a good resource for those wanting to dive deep into EDH.

There's cube draft of singletons, build best 40 or 60 card deck. It's casual but that's what it is. That's why people build cubes.

ColdHeartedSith - I think BrandonJamesCAC was primarily talking about Constructed singleton, but Cube is a singleton format. It's just that Cube is a Limited format instead of Constructed one.

He did not specify and I was trying to shine a light on Cube sorry commander battle buddy!

ColdHeartedSith - I've only played Cube on MTGO and don't have easy access to another cube, hence why I'm so heavily on the EDH bandwagon. If I did have access to a Cube, I'm sure my preferences might shift.

Hi guys!
I play Highlander in Victoria, BC (one of the hubs mentioned so far). I would also love if there was an easier way to sort 100card singleton lists on TappedOut.
Here's a bunch of info on Highlander! : )
Highlander is a 100 card singleton format with very few deck building restrictions. In Commander, you are restricted to only using the colours of your commander (no other colour may appear on any card you use, ie a mono green commander cannot have G/R split cards in the deck).
HIghlander is vintage legal. What that means is there is no restriction on cards based on when they were printed (Modern for example, allowing only so far back as 8th Edition). To keep our format healthy we created a points list. Powerful cards are assigned a points value, and decks are only allowed so many points.
The lovely thing about the points list is any play group can make their own. In European Highlander they use a banned list. While their format is very similar to ours, removing cards creates a very different meta game.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

There isn't a format hub for it, but the format you're looking for is Highlander. It's a 100 card singleton format, but isn't regulated by any one central body (e.g. WotC or the Commander Rules Committee). I haven't seen any people post about that format, as EDH is one of the most popular formats on T/O.
As an aside, I think the major hubs for Highlander are Germany and, oddly enough, Victoria, BC, Canada.
