Just out of interest, what's YOUR favorite flavor text? Why?
My favorite is Night of Souls' Betrayal . It's flavor text is just perfect, especially in conjunction with the art and flavor.
As stated by "Leshrac_Nightwalker" on Gatherer:
"The flavour text on this card is epic. It really evokes a sense of desperation from Sensei Hisoka, begging Konda to put an end to his crazy ambitions..."
So, back to the original point, What is your favorite flavor text?
Wow. I actually started laughing when I read Indestructibility . :D

Personally I chuckle at Goblin Spelunkers . Those little fellas can't catch a break. The edition I'm thinking of (Urza's) reads:
"It only short jump. You go first."
"AIIIEEEE!"
"Hmm . . . we go different way now."

The flavor text on Scapeshift is beautiful. I also love the flavor text of Night of Souls' Betrayal . Shatterstorm and Shatter are both amusing. Repeal and Telling Time are also cool. I play a lot of Modern, and a lot of the cards common there have awesome flavor texts.

I'm a fan of pretty much anything related to Nicol Bolas namely the Deep Analysis from Ajani vs. Bolas ("No fact escapes me. Why do you think you can?")
I also like amusing stuff like War Tax

Fodder Cannon Hands down, I can just picture goblins stuffing other goblins into the cannon, the 8th edition art definitely helps :-P

As far as serious flavor text goes, I would have to choose Vindicate . For a joke flavor text, probably any card from Unhinged works.

I really like Norin the Wary 's text. And +1 to whoever said Jaya Ballard, Task Mage 's flavor texts.
Actually, any flavor text involving Norin the Wary is pretty great (Animate Wall , Lightning Elemental , Viscid Lemures , etc).

I like Jinxed Idol and Indestructibility - they both talk to the opponent and kinda make fun of them. I find that rich.
