I'm looking for opinions on your favorite basic Plains. I'd prefer the old border, but whatever is cool. I'm undecided but leaning towards something from Portal. No full-arts please.

alot of people like the dragons maze promo basic plains im too lazy to find it for you but if you google it you can find it. That being said I like the unglued plains too much to cheat on it with another plains lol.

After trading all my Alara foil plains for $.50 each recently, I have a heightened desire to commit suicide.

I use the Portal 3 ones. They look pretty nice with Japanese lettering.

Most of the Zendikar ones are my favorites. Of course, they're at least $.50 a piece even without the full art.

I've always liked the land art for the Lowryn/Shadowmoor block.

Alt textThis is my favorite. I have ten of them signed by the artist. Definitely worth it. Although there have been a few mishaps in which someone mistook the land as a Karakas (The judge promo one)

I would love to get Guru lands but realistically I need 20 of them and I'm a college student. I'd rather not spend $3k for just the basics (assuming they're 150 each).

June 7, 2015 10:17 a.m.

150 for a basic land???????????????

Question of the day guys: would your rather have a basic plains or a goyf? Choose wisely.

They're Guru lands. Believe me, there is literally no way to get more swag than playing them. You could have 60 Guru Islands and still win.

Also please link the European lands promos, if possible (with individual artworks). It's probably annoying work for little payoff, but I'd appreciate it <3

What's a GURU land, and why are they so expensive?

Taken from MTG Salvation...

"The Guru program was initiated by Wizards to promote Magic more effectively. For every 10 Guru points, the Guru received one randomly chosen Guru land and one booster of the latest expert-level Magic set. Wizards of the Coast kept a record which lands had been rewarded to ensure that after 50 Guru points each Guru had a complete set of Guru lands.

Each of the Guru lands were illustrated by Terese Nielsen. The lands show five stages of a "double eclipse."

The Guru program was discontinued on February 27, 2001. Since then, the Guru lands are now quite collectible, with the most valuable, Island, being worth around $300 as of March 2015."

Essentially, they're highly coveted.
