2x Wispweaver Angel, one Panharmonicon, and any creature with fabricate will generate infinite servos.

Now, this may not be as cool as generating infinite thopters (cause, well, flight?) however, Marionette Master and Fumigate could turn all of those servos into a bomb.

There may be easier combo kills out there... but I thought this was interesting at the least.

In the end, I guess Whirler Virtuoso, and 3xDecoction Module or Whirler Virtuoso, 2xDecoction Module, and Panharmonicon could generate infinite thopters more easily, but I liked the thought that adding Marionette Master and Fumigate to the mix would bring a sudden crushing defeat... or even better: your opponent casts Fumigate to clear out all of those thopters/servos while Marionette Master is already out!

Probably worthless... but was a lot of fun thinking about it.

If your opponent casts Fumigate, they would survive the Marionette Master triggers, unless you put counters on him in the final ETB. Worth noting.

I may have been mistaken about this... but it was my understanding that Marionette Master second ability will trigger whenever an artifact enters the graveyard even if she and "an artifact" enter at the same time. My logic says that all of the creatures killed by Fumigate enter the graveyard at the same time and would cause her ability to trigger for each artifact sent to the graveyard in this fashion. Therefore, if you chose to put 3x +1/+1 counters on her, had 7 Thopters or Servos out on the field and you or your opponent cast fumigate while Marionette Master is on the battlefield... it should be lethal.

Again, though... this is a combo that has a LOT of moving parts. The Zulaport Cutthroat+Eldrazi Displacer+Brood Monitor combo seems to be more effective.

You know what... I just realized what you were pointing out there... because they gain 1 life for each creature, you must throw counters on Marionette Master.

Typing before thinking... ftw.

I guess now I have a question, because my understanding of the stack is still lacking some.

Does the opponent gain life before her second ability triggers or after all of the damage is done?

TBH I don't know why anyone other than the person running this combo would even want to cast fumigate and bomb themselves... but it's still worth my understanding.

Lets say I generate 20 servos and choose to pass my turn because I don't have fumigate in my hand. Then my opponent isn't paying attention because, well, a crap ton of servos are going to smear them next turn anyway... and they cast Fumigate without understanding how everything will work out and they have 10 life.

Does it flow like this? They cast fumigateAll of the Servos and Marionette Master enter the graveyardThey gain 20 lifeMarionette's second ability triggers and she deals 20 damage

or does the damage happen first, bringing the opponent to negative 10 hp? I thought that Marionette Master's second ability would end up on top of the stack and would kill the opponent before they gain health.

Whenever a spell or ability is resolving, nothing else will happen. If something triggers during resolution, it is put on the stack AFTER the spell/ability resolves.

Using this info, we can understand that in this case, the opponent will first gain 20 life from Fumigate fully resolving and only then would MM's triggers go on the stack, so the opponent would survive.

Both combos in the first post require a bit too much setup. The first one requires 16 mana and at least 7 turns to setup and the combo parts do nothing on their own. The second one can come online on turn 4 (t2 module, t3 virtuoso, t4 double module) but requires 3 copies of one card, which is unlikely.

Panharmonicon removes the need for the third module, but I agree. Everything requires too much setup. And I've noticed that Wispweavers haven't seen tournament play, so I assumed they weren't actually all that good. I just couldn't stop myself from getting all excited over the possibilities.
