Potential of Bolster mechanic

I really like the idea of using bolster in aggro decks to negate the downsides of high power/low-toughness creatures such as Phytotitan. I think bolster could be super powerful.
Bolster is mostly a Limited mechanic with the only Standard playable bolster card being Dromoka, the Eternal. The other bolster cards are either too expensive or don't do enough to merit their inclusion in a Standard deck.

It does have potential I agree but having toyed around with the idea I think it's probably only fringe.
I don't actually play standard anymore but i do keep up with the format where cards are concerned as well as what decks are dominant for economoic reasons.
I just don't think it has the staying power to become a major contender.

Am I the only person seeing Bolster as another way of buffing your creatures enough to enable Ferocious?

In Limited, sure. But Bolster doesn't feel like a Constructed mechanic. As I said, the only playable Bolster card is Dromoka. Sandsteppe Mastodon is cute, but ultimately not useful.

Dromoka, the Eternal and to a lesser extent Dragonscale General are the only constructed playables with Map the Wastes being very fringe in a ramp deck...

I just keep thinking Chasm Skulker + Hardened Scales combined with bolster and if you can manifest the skulker, you can hide what it is and then flip it for a nasty surprise.

Dragonscale General is the real deal. Solid sideboard against decks lacking much interaction (some sligh, WW, Green), and mainboard potentially in the warriors deck.

Dragonscale General is amazing in limited but in constructed it is only ok. A cute combo in limited is Pressure Point + Dragonscale General
