Congrats to Andrew Elenbogen but I did feel very sorry for Luis Scott-Vargas having to mulligan down to four cards in the last game of the final.
It reminded me of when Mike Sigrist lost the last game of the Magic Origins Pro Tour.
Bad feels.
With a full hand LSV would have made it. Pretty sure about that. Elenbogens hand wasn't that great and LSVs deck was better tuned for the mirror. Really heartbreaking moment. :-(

Yeah I think he should have kept his opening hand.
He was holding a quarter of his lands, which meant that he may not have drawn that many more.
He had two good drops and would probably have drawn into what he needed.

I agree. It would have been interesting to see how it would have panned out otherwise.
